Excellent coffee and service. Located in the heart of town with seating next to the river. Parking is available just next door but is a pay and display car park just for the town. Good food option and a good amount of seating for the size of the shop itself. Would definitely recommend if you fancy a quieter environment to the square.

Very nice coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating out the back near to the river. Service is a bit slow but staff are very well organised from a Covid point of view. They take your details, wear masks and thoroughly clean tables after use. Food was well prepared. Toilets inside upstairs were very clean.

Nice tea and coffee. I tried the berries blackcurrant tea, very good❤️ and the smoked salmon sandwich (GF bread of course!) was delicious. We tried the soup of the day (red pepper and courgette) was really good too. Nice attention and we sat outside at the back so was more enjoyable. Hope to come back soon ✨

to be honest I only give a genuine review of the food and service given so here goes this cafe holds a great location and caroark next door so no brainer to pop in before our appointment. ordered x2 full breakfast and within minutes of ordering the toast appeared, nothing of quality just basic brown and white slice gutless bread of which I made a comment to the waitress but sadly she chuckled my criticism away. the meals arrived and for £10 instantly looked depressing. 1 snotty egg, half a tomato, bubble end of a black pudding and thin and small, x2 really poor commercial tasteless sausages not overly hot and pale, chewy bacon 3 slices not the best and the beans were great and hot.. overall not worth the brass, not hot and to say it only travelled what 10feet!! obviously not served straight away. the beans must have been the last to hit the plate as boiling... so 1 star overall for a poor breakfast for 2 people. sorry water gate I did expect a better meal.. your meals given to us were poor, expensive for quality and poor on taste and produce served. bread, sausages were dire bacon not much better thank god the beans were ok hot and enjoyable. that's £20 I would have preferred to have spent elsewhere... your feedback would be of interest but not essential as we will not...

I came too Hebden Bridge today as I needed some time away from Manchester where am struggling too survive mentally and know it would help me regulate my nervous system. I walked past and it looked quite , not busy and I didn’t feel worried walking in on my own and I was correct. It was quiet , no music , and the staff were friendly and I felt at ease. Having autism it can be hard when places are busy and noisy etc but I didn’t experience that here at all and enjoyed my lunch without feeling worried and anxious. One day I would love too be part of a community like Hebden Bridge where I feel I’d be accepted and belong . Great place too eat and will come back again when I can as it’s difficult too travel on the train . Hebden bridge perfect place too...

We visited these tea rooms for the first time yesterday. We had the mini breakfast which came which came with a choice of tea or coffee and toast. It really was a beautiful breakfast, not greasy, nicely cooked and presented. Exceptionally clean establishment and very friendly staff. Have booked for afternoon tea next week. 8th March. Went for afternoon tea which was beautifully presented, sandwiches were not made until we arrived, never have I had such beautiful egg and cress sandwiches before the filling was perfect. The cucumber and cream cheese just as delicious. Lovely scone with jam and cream and beautiful little cakes. Thank you all so much, thoroughly enjoyed...
