Arena — Restaurant in Cambridge

After reading another review, and after visiting the premises on several occasions now, I thought I'd give mine... The service I personally have found to be good 4 star, the waitresses that have served me have always been polite, courteous, and one always seems to have a smile for everyone and nothing seems to be too much trouble for her... Although I have not eaten there, I've never over heard any complaints with anything, except lack of seating during busy periods... During these busy periods (lunchtime), they do have a policy in place where they like you to purchase a meal too, but at other times you are welcome to enjoy coffee on its own inside.. They accommodate for smokers too by having seating outside.. :) They also have wifi, password available...

A lovely little cafe with an extensive menu for a variety of tastes, preferences, and palate.

The food was beautifully presented, well cooked, and amazingly quick to arrive.

The place has a very cosmopolitan feel while still remaining quite chic, with a flair of European taste about it.

Seating is limited due to its size, and it was busy, however, the service was quick, and it is order from the counter service.

For the majority of the review, it is easily 5 star for me. However, my child wanted a jacket potato, which was only available on the adult menu, so I had to pay adult price.

This said, as a food connoisseur also, she did rate it very highly indeed, so credit where it was due!

I would have left 0 stars if possible. We paid about 10 quid for a veggie breakfast (without the egg as there were no other vegan options). I had a pot of beans, 2 slices of tomatoes, a single hash brown, a piece of toast with no butter (again no dairy free alternative) and a couple of mushrooms that tasted like pure grease. My friends had the meat breakfast, simply impossible to cook meat in the time it took without a microwave. Food was not good. When we tried to complain we were told there was nothing we could do because the manager wasn't there. They insisted nothing was microwaved while the ping of the microwave echoed in the background.
