The perfect lunch spot in Cambridge ✨ 📍Cafe Foy, Cambridge #cambridge #lunchspot #cafefoy #cambridgefood #bruscetta #burrata #foodtiktok

We visited Café Foy for a private hire event and had an incredible experience. The venue offered a set menu that catered to dietary requirements and personal preferences, with the option to pre-order, which made the evening run smoothly. The atmosphere was relaxed and cosy, with an elegant touch that made it feel special yet comfortable. Freshly baked breads were served on the table to start, setting the tone for a meal that was clearly homemade with care. I had the beef bourguignon, which was cooked to perfection—rich, tender, and full of depth. For those who preferred a vegetarian option, a mushroom-based alternative was available. To finish, I enjoyed a decadent chocolate mousse that was smooth, indulgent, and the perfect end to the meal. Service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff ensuring everything ran seamlessly. The entire evening was a delight, and I highly recommend Café Foy if you’re considering hiring a venue for a special occasion. The combination of exceptional food, warm hospitality, and a charming setting makes it a fantastic choice.

🌸✨ What an absolute find! ✨🌸 The food was incredible, beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. The baked eggs with chorizo were rich and comforting, with the perfectly runny yolk and just the right amount of spice. The bread was golden, crunchy, and honestly the best for dipping into all that goodness. The hummus on the side was smooth, nutty, and packed with flavour which was such a thoughtful addition that tied everything together. The atmosphere made it even better: rustic wooden boards, colourful fresh flowers on the table, and a cosy but lively vibe that made the whole experience feel special. Staff were friendly and attentive without ever rushing us, which let us just relax and enjoy. This wasn’t just brunch, it felt like a treat. 🌼🍳🥖 Definitely one of the best I’ve had! can’t wait to come back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Foy Cafe Bar by the River in Cambridge is a culinary gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. This riverside haven, owned by the dynamic brother and sister duo, has elevated brunch to an art form.

When it comes to their Turkish Eggs, prepare to be transported to a world of flavors. This dish is a symphony of poached eggs nestled on a bed of creamy yogurt, adorned with a drizzle of rich, fragrant chili oil. Each bite is a harmonious blend of textures and tastes that will awaken your taste buds and leave you craving more.

If you're in the mood for something heartier, the Foy Breakfast Bagel is a must-try. Stuffed to perfection, it's a flavorful combination of fluffy scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and creamy avocado, all tucked into a fresh bagel. It's the ultimate breakfast indulgence.

To quench your thirst on a sunny day, their signature Foy Fizz cocktail is the way to go. It's a refreshing, summery delight that pairs beautifully with their riverside setting. And for beer enthusiasts, they serve Vedett beer, a crisp and satisfying choice to complement your meal.

The dedication of the brother and sister team shines through in every detail at Foy, from the thoughtfully crafted menu to the warm and attentive service. Their passion for culinary excellence is evident in every dish that graces your table.

In conclusion, Foy Cafe Bar by the River offers a culinary journey that's nothing short of extraordinary. Staff seemed inattentive, stood at the please wait here sign for a good few minutes while staff walked by us and then when I eventually walked in and got the attention of someone they weren’t welcoming or friendly, a table was vaguely pointed out to us and then when someone came over to take our order we were told we couldn’t add a fried egg to the avocado toast but you could add it to the croque monsieur which seemed odd - as a chef, if your already doing fried eggs it really isn’t any trouble to fry one off for a toast dish.. I had the shakshuka which was fine, a bit oily and I had to pay an extra 1.50 for a sprinkle of feta but then it came with hummus and chick peas which tasted stale. Then the weirdest thing was that my toasted sourdough was only toasted on the one side! The side placed down on the plate was completely untoasted and soft. Maybe the place was having an off day but...
