Khatri's Nepalese and Indian Cuisine (Rugeley) — Restaurant in Cannock Chase

The positives - The food arrived quickly, good prices and it was piping hot. The keema rice and peshawari naan were just beautiful (probs the best I've had)

The negatives - i ordered saag paneer and bombay aloo. Both seemed to be in swimming in some balti flavoured sauce. Im used to saag paneer actually being spinach with cheese in it. However, it was just a pot of balti hot sauce with a bit of spinach here and there. Same with the bombay potatoes. Im used to them being just boiled potatoes with bombay marinade. Again just a big pot of spicey, hot curry sauce with a few cubed potatoes in. So it all tasted very "samey"

I booked a table here for valentines day. I forgot to tell them i was disabled. When we arrived and they saw me on crutches the guys couldnt help me enough. They were all so lovely and made sure i was ok. The food was really nice. When ive had chicken in a curry at other places the chicken always tasted dry and i end up leaving it but the chicken i had in my curry was soft, full of flavour and juicy.The butter chicken my partner had he said was really nice but not really spicy enough altho it had 1 chill for spice. A good selection of drinks as this restaurant privides them and a really good price too. Some of the drinks are actually cheaper than the pub me n my partner goes to. This restaurant is one of the best we have used for Indian food in a long time. The food is gorgeous & the staff are so friendly & obliging & always make every visit extra special. Last night we took my mum & sister for the first day as a distraction from a painful time we are going through. When taking to the staff, we shared that it’s is our parents wedding anniversary today & before we left, they presented mum with a lovely cake & congratulatory wishes. So thoughtful & kind. My sister also confirmed that her vegetarian curry was the best that she had ever tasted. So a big thanks to all the fantastic staff at Khatri's Nepalese and Indian, as we look forward to visiting...
