Herne Bay Cafe Restaurant — Restaurant in Canterbury

Popped in earlier today for a breakfast with my brother. The food and service were very good, with the meals also being very reasonably priced.

There's a sign on the wall saying that the cafe doesn't have WiFi. That wasn't an issue as we sat on a long table and very quickly struck up a conversation with the people next to us.

When the waitress brought our coffees over she mentioned that this was why the tables were laid out this way, to prompt conversations.

Ordered spaghetti bologness, came up mini amount of sauce which had no flavour, tasteless. Just a plate if spaghetti. It was swimming in water as it wasn't drained well from the pasta. Had to pour this in a cup! Had 2 customers with total 3 dogs barking and not controlling them. Poor old lady sitting between them looks shocked like she couldn't think with all the commotion. I only visit for a full Chefs Special breakfast plus an extra of fried bread, of course. All food is cooked to order thus served piping hot so there is a delay. This place is very dog friendly to the point of waiter service, in a bowl + with water, when I order a sausage for my dog. There are plenty of newspapers to read whilst waiting and hopefully no tea leaf has pinched the "todays" edition. Service with a genuine smile from ...
