I went to the heron for Mother’s Day lunch with a large party of 13 I must admit the food was very nice but the reason for the 1 start is that the party member that made the booking has assured us that it was communicated the establishment that one of our party had an allergy to dairy and despite this all the vegetables where coated in cheese and the fats has spread across the whole tray of veg meaning the party member with the allergy was given a portion of chicken and a couple of roast potatoes, the fact that allergies are clearly not catered for means I can not use this establishment again. Book a afternoon tea there, l think table could have been laid out better than in a straight line.l would have put 3 in a line x 3 which would been a square andthat would have been better 3 each side, say us talking loud to each other. A lady came in and ask bottom end of if all was ok but didn't ask the people at the other end .Sandwiches had finger prints on them where they had been cut.Scones ,jam,and squeeze cream, and 7 or 8 tea bags in a pot was to many. A Huge Thank you to Arthur for this. We had a fabulous service from all the staff at the Heron, who were all very efficient working well as a team.
