I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant as they offer a wide range of gluten-free options, which is usually reassuring for someone like me with coeliac disease. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and upsetting.
I was mistakenly served a non–gluten-free dish, which is very dangerous for me as a coeliac and was only informed after asking multiple times if this was gluten free and reassured. After half was through the dish after asking one final time they realised they had given me the wrong dish. This left me very unwell and I had to make myself sick to try to limit the reaction. What made the situation worse was that the responsibility was placed on a waitress who was still in training, even though allergen orders should be handled with the utmost care and by staff who are fully trained.
Although the manager did apologise and comped my meal, the situation was not handled with the seriousness it deserved. My friends had to pack up their meals to take away as I was unwell, so none of us actually got to enjoy the experience. On top of that, we were still charged for all the other meals despite the circumstances.

The food served here is of top-notch quality, and you can tell that it has been prepared with great care and attention to detail. Their brunch is particularly impressive and has been a favourite amongst locals and tourists alike for many years. What's even better is that the coffee served here is excellent as well, the perfect accompaniment to any meal.
