Was horrible experience start to finish! We were a large group and had pre-ordered.

Pros Chicken biryani Chicken lollipop Sea bass Sides are big could share between two Waitresses were polite Nice selection of drinks

Cons Service was terrible! Took an hour (pre-order) before starters even came out. Took half an hour for drinks to come after ordering Food was awful! Starter: Papad and chutney - popadom tasted weird and came with a table spoon of sauces (raita, chutney and another hit one) Seekah Kebab - taste and texture was horrible! Chilli cheese toast - disgusting Mains: Butter chicken tasted like defrosted chicken cubes in a bowl of Heinz tomato soup! Fish soup - looked like breaded deep fried fish in a bowl of soup. Was disgusting. Sides: Masala chips came out freezing cold Nothing came out together and some people were waiting for sides to come out for a while after their mail came out meaning it got cold. Some dishes never even arrived at the table Really poor management We tried to complain to the manager a few times but he was avoiding the table.

When it came to the bill (which was initially over £700) we said we weren’t paying for the food a) we didn’t received b) complained about and didn’t eat!

The atmosphere was poor as we constantly had to ask “how much longer” or complain about so many things. Lots of hungry people waiting to be fed at a table booked at 8pm - you can imagine how many hangry people there were!

Such a shame as the venue is ideal as is the actual restaurant itself!

Anyway, I would avoid until they change the menu and management!

Another friend went the night after me and got the butter chicken and said exactly the same about it tasting like a tin of soup with chicken in it! I’ve added a picture of the...

I've been living in Canterbury for the past two years, and while I've tried numerous Indian restaurants, none have truly captured the authentic taste of India—until I discovered Sekkoya. Today, I experienced what can only be described as a culinary revelation. The food was absolutely fantastic, embodying the rich and vibrant flavors of North Indian cuisine.

From the moment I placed my order, I could sense that this experience would be different. The dishes arrived promptly, beautifully packaged, and bursting with the true essence of Indian spices. Every bite transported me back to India, with flavors that were bold, authentic, and perfectly balanced. It was like a taste of home, right here in Canterbury.

A special mention must go to Mr. Divakar, the General Manager at Sekkoya. He is an outstanding man who made my dining experience even more memorable. He personally ensured that everything was perfect, and he was absolutely right when he assured me that the taste would be just like in India. His dedication to quality and customer satisfaction is truly commendable.

If you're in Canterbury and craving authentic North Indian cuisine, look no further than Sekkoya. The flavors, the quality, and the exceptional service all combine to make this restaurant a standout. I can't recommend it highly enough. Thank you, Sekkoya for bringing a true taste of India...

Let me tell you, Sekkoya isn't just a restaurant, it's an experience. From the moment you step in, the immaculate vibes wash over you – think chic atmosphere with a contagious energy that makes you want to linger and savor every second. But let's be real, the true star of the show is the food.

Every dish was a symphony of flavor, a delightful dance on my tastebuds. I can still practically taste the edamame hummus and let's not even get started on the miso lamb chops, pure magic, I tell you.

But the pièce de résistance was the brownie. This wasn't your average dessert, my friends, this was a fudgy, melt-in-your-mouth masterpiece that deserves its own standing ovation. I'm not exaggerating when I say I would sell my soul for the recipe.

Speaking of heavenly things, the staff at Sekkoya were absolute angels. Attentive, helpful, and with a genuine warmth that made you feel right at home. They navigated our indecisive ordering with smiles and offered fantastic recommendations that took our meal to the next level.

Overall, Sekkoya is more than just a restaurant; it's a vibrant, delicious, and unforgettable experience. If you're looking for a night of incredible food, immaculate vibes, and top-notch service, look no further. And hey, Sekkoya, if you're reading this, please, please share that brownie recipe – the...

I recently dined here with a group of four and was thoroughly impressed. The menu offered a fine balance of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, catering to a variety of tastes. The small plates were generously portioned and I found that ordering just two or three was enough to make a satisfying main meal. I would recommend this approach for indecisive diners, as it will help to keep FOMO at bay! I particularly enjoyed the Chicken 65 and Samosa Chaat, both bursting with flavour. The Masala Fries were flavoursome but had a slightly soggy/chewy texture, so they could have been crispier. If you're a fan of hot and cold dessert combos like me, then you should definitely try the Gulaab Jamun with a scoop of ice cream and crushed pistachios. To top off the meal, the Masala Chai - served in a glass tumbler was divine and the accompanying Parle G biscuits - a nostalgic and delightful touch. The music and decor created a slick and vibey atmosphere to dine. The staff, including Justin and the rest of his colleagues who served us that evening were incredibly warm and welcoming, adding to a positive experience at Sekkoya. All in all, a fantastic dining experience and I’ll definitely recommend it.
