Le Café — Restaurant in Canterbury

I was really looking forward to trying this cafe, as I have walked past it several times. I ordered a coffee with syrup and a cheese toastie to take away. For £11.20, it was incredibly underwhelming and disappointing. The coffee was lukewarm and lacked flavour. The cheese toastie was £6 for 2 slices of bread, very little cheese (which tasted rubbery), lacked flavour, and not even warm despite being toasted in front of me. Lovely cafe that’s only round the corner from Canterbury West Train Station. Perfect to grab a drink or a bite from just before catching the train. I initially ordered an iced vanilla matcha but the barista recommended the iced blueberry matcha as she said it tastes like a blueberry muffin- and she was right! Has the potential to be a really nice little café, food was of a good standard but very limited menu items. Certain items on the menu were unclear like flavours of drinks. The seating area was quaint but some seating areas felt very cramped. Outside seating was available but high foot traffic and a very noisy road naturally affects the atmosphere. Service was friendly and quick and employees were very helpful. The flat white was nice enough but the Iced coffee was a highlight of the trip. Nice place to pop in for...
