A gem of a place with fantastic, funky decor and a lovely courtyard garden. Very pleasant and friendly service, but the visit we had was sadly let down by the food. We ordered a falafel bowl and the Buddha bowl and clearly stated vegan, the waitress made a note of it. It was disappointing, therefore to receive a bowl with egg on top. No matter, mistakes happen, and it was taken away and replaced. This is not my reason for dropping a star. The tiny (in mine and my husbandâs opinion ) portions are the reason I canât rate it 5 stars. The Buddha bowl was ÂŁ13 and Iâd expected a substantial bowl, but received a bit of salad, maybe a tablespoon of grain, and some kimchi, in a small bowl. Really it was just a side salad. My husband had 3 falafel, one sliced cherry tomato, a couple of slices of cucumber and some salad. His meal was ÂŁ12. We had to ask for the flatbread that should have come with it. We did raise the portion size with a very nice lady, who did seem to take the comments on board. She said nobody had ever complained about the size before which surprises me. Another local place has a Buddha bowl for less than ÂŁ10 which is twice the size of this, take a while to eat and is filling. I ate this bowl in a couple of minutes and just a few mouthfuls. We both left hungry and had to get more food elsewhere. I must state that when we paid the lady weâd spoken to gave us a discount off our bill and said she hoped weâd return. We will, and would want a great place like this to do well, but Iâm not sure weâd eat there again unless we knew the portion sizes had been increased. Photo attached of my...

Read moreLoved our visit today to Revival. I booked one of the window tables for a special treat for my mum and dad. We were welcomed in and shown to our seat. Our waitress Izzy was lovely as was the manager Zoey who checked in on us during lunch. Food was delicious can definitely recommend the âsmashed avocado on sourdoughâ 10/10 to the chef Rita who we were also fortunate enough to meet. All followed by really great coffee and cake. This cafe supports mental health and well being initiatives in the community and manages to provide a safe welcoming space while wrapping it up in a really cool vibe. Table seating at the front with lovely cosy booths, through the back is more chilled with comfy sofas and coffee tables. The decor is retro all pulled together to give a feeling of comfort and care, like homely but funky too. The patio looked really lovely with half of it shaded by a fabulous awning. Canât wait to come back so proud to have this amazing place on our high street. Music was awesome too. Thank...
