Akash Tandoori — Restaurant in Castle Point

We went to Akash last night and was disappointed with what we had. We sat down at 7:30pm and food didn’t hit our table until 8:55pm. We had to ask for someone to take our order almost 45 mins after sitting down - thank god we had poppadoms l while we wait. When the food came, it was nice and large portions, no complaints with the quality of it. Although again, they only bought have the order out and we had to ask for the rest of it. When it came to paying and we asked for the bill, we then waited a further 25 mins and had to ask to pay.

Sadly last night the service didn’t match the food. I wouldn’t mind if they were extremely busy or understaffed, but as far was we could see they had more than enough staff on. Not sure it’ll be somewhere...

We have been ordering from Akash for a few months now. The quality is steadily declining. I always go for a king prawn dish and tonight I got tiny pieces of king prawn which would probably equal to around 2 full King prawns. My partner said the same about the lamb hardly any in his curry too. When it comes to prawn dishes these are quite expensive.
