Amala | Indian Restaurant & Takeaway (Buffet Restaurant) — Restaurant in Castle Point

This is genuinely the worst service I have had from a restaurant, DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!! I should have read the reviews first, My food was estimated to take an hour, I phoned the restaurant when it was 30 minutes late and they were rude and unhelpful, talking to other people whilst on the phone to me and taking other phone calls, eventually they guaranteed it would be here within 20 minutes, another 30 minutes later I phoned and they told me it was on it's way, I said that it was over an hour late now and the man on the phone started speaking to someone else in another language and ignoring what I was saying for several minutes I was trying to get his attention and eventually told him I was going to cancel my order and he told me to call just eat. NO APOLOGY AT ALL! Awful customer service, didn't care at all and reading the reviews the food sounds rubbish too! Over 2 hours since we ordered and over an hour late before we eventually had to cancel. Will never order from here again and would advise others to...

1 star on the basis my partner is currently sat with the roof of her mouth split open on what appears to be a razor sharp piece of plastic that was inside our naan bread.

This has resulted in most of the food going in the bin, ruining both of our meals. When calling the restaurant they couldn’t even be bothered to ask if my partner was ok. They offered to refund the naan however when I refused asking I expected more to be done. I was told that if we had ordered through them directly and not JustEat there is more they could have done.

Strange because the food comes from them and as the provider they are solely responsible for its quality (or lack of in this case).

It’s quite clear they’re not concerned for their customers or their lack of ability to provide food that is safe to eat.

We walked in and greeted with a nice friendly welcome ... Drinks ordered and menus given , very very beautiful Decor and amazing staff... Mains served and the dishes were a good size lovely warm plates and dishes served in clean and white .. wonderful flavours and my husband said that was the best lamb dansak he ever had ... My boys said it was the best Indian restaurant they had been to and food by far the best too ... Staff were at a high standard and made you feel on another level .. Service 10/10 a high standard .. Food honestly 10/10 and restaurant , table layout,music and temperature all spot on .. Such a very clean restaurant.......
