Having previous experience of a partner owning a cafe, food and drink are the priority people visit a restaurant. We usually go elsewhere but chose this as I’d read other reviews it was nice. Interior themed to create effect and clean and tidy. 2 members of staff and chef. Cappuccino from machine was very low on froth from a machine. We looked at menu, £10 for breakfast and £7 for 1 item each (4), so decided against this, we chose baguettes as it would fill us up for the morning. When we received “baguettes” they were the pre made ones you get from supermarket and were doughy. Bacon was fine, my partners sausage wasn’t great either. No garnish, onion etc and no mustard available. For £17.50 and then to have to decide whether to tip on machine which was awkward I thought it was poor. By the time we left there were 3 staff. They are absolutely outstanding. Sensational venue. Friendly staff. Great food. Good value. All boxes ticked.
Original review: Rayleigh Brunch Club frequent this gorgeous gem of a eatery regularly. The menu is vast, the food is delicious, the staff are all warm, friendly, attentive, fun, professional. Always accommodating. The decor is beautiful. Idyllic I’d say. You really do step into a space of tranquil. With the best hot and cold drinks including amazing cocktails. Great for Full English, sandwiches, jacket potatoes and the BEST coleslaw and the best homemade coronation chicken I’ve ever tasted! Five...
Read moreSo disappointed with this new cafe. Decor is really lovely and unique. Menu is very plain and basic. Breakfast items, 3 types of burgers, sandwiches and jackets. No salads, uninspiring sandwich fillings eg egg mayo, ham, cheese. All very plain. Food is overpriced and poor quality…the sausage baguette was just supermarket part baked baguette with yellow margarine and cheap sausages. Burgers £13 and cheap meat with a small portion of chips. They could have made so much more of this lovely place by having an interesting menu with quality ingredients. A real shame and with so many other cafes around to choose from, we definitely...
