Unusually from me a review of an Indian Restaurant. We were visiting friends on Canvey and they suggested we all go for a meal on the Friday at night. First thing our friends advised was to take our own drink as they are not licensed. I wish more restaurants did this as we knew we could have drinks we liked. Glasses were provided for us to use. We started with poppadoms and chutney etc. Exactly what you would expect and enough pickles etc for the six poppadoms. We decided against starters and went straight for the mains. These included Grilled Salmon, Lamb Bhunas, Chicken Tikka Madras, Pillau rices, Garlic Naans and Bombay Aloo and Mushroom Bhaji. All the food was superbly cooked and wonderfully flavoured. Portion sizes were very good. No rush at all to consume your food. We finished off with a selection of various ice creams and sorbets. To sum up, a very enjoyable evening with superb food. I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant and look forward to returning to our friends again in the future so we can visit this restaurant again. Read more1st time & definitely last time ordering from here. Food too spicy couldn't eat it & so many bones in curry had to have it re delivered guess what !!! More bones & still too spicy. If as they say they use Chicken breast meat where do bones come from !!! One star for lady delivery driver although as she delivered for 3rd time even she dumped & ran with a Sorry. Lights too bright, music from a cheap radio too loud, a view straight into some sort of prep area, back bar was a stack of glasses so just not a comfortable environment and couldn't wait to get out.
