The Woodmans Arms — Restaurant in Castle Point

Like previous reviews, we found the bar staff friendly enough but the manager requires to enroll himself in a customer care course. We read a good report on the pub and thought we'll give it a go as live in the local area.......definitely won't be returning in the near future. The food was portion controlled, a small amount of chips, tea spoon of coleslaw, a dubiously cooked burger and a rock hard bun. I would say the drinks were satisfactory, but the gin and tonic appeared to be missing the gin!! Unfortunately, I can't see the place staying open much longer under the current regime.......Looks like was right about the poor...

First time back in the pub since new management and what a pleasant surprise - the establishment is now fresh and vibrant with a distinctive buzz from the patrons sitting at the tables…… it has been along time since I have walked into a busy pub and loved the vibe given. Staff are friendly and empty glasses are cleared within minutes from your table. There was music on loud enough to hear but not too loud that it becomes difficult to converse with the crowd your with. I have not tried the food yet but on my return visit this will be on the agenda, but for what I did see looked lovely. All in all this will be the pub...

Had a very good time at the pub, until Michelle came out and said "we'd had enough" i asked her if we caused any disruptions or if anyone complained. "She said there havent been any complaints against you as you have been fine but I won't serve you because of my personal opinion". I find that treatment truly disrespectful and as a local who have visited the arms frequently I dont appreciate that treatment as a paying customer. I would like this matter to be looked into and investigated. If there is no response or rectification we will not visit again and that is 4 customers lost. Thank you for...
