Ma's Cottage — Restaurant in Charnwood

Sadly I've had to edit my review:

A friend & I ordered here last night around 7:45/8pm for collection.

Upon receiving the food we were both extremely disappointed with the quality & the quantity of the Meats inside both the containers. One of them a Szechuan chicken dish.

Bland, low quality meat but barely any of it in the box I received about 6 peices of that meat as it was basically box full of bamboo so it went in the bin.

The prawn crackers even though they were free had NO prawn taste to them what so ever. I've never tasted them this bad before, are they stale? I gave them to the pigeons today.

The rice dish was the only edible thing we got.

My friend was the same about 2 Prawns, little bit of low quality chicken & barely any beef or pork just loads of veg. If we wanted veg dishes we would have ordered them. They've clearly cut corners with the quantity and quality of their food so sadly after almost 5 years of Ma's cottage. This is the end for us.

We will not be ordering from Ma's cottage again. I refuse to pay for low quality food & boxes full of cheap veg & bamboo.

A Sad Farewell indeed & on to try something...

Took over hundred pounds off me and couldn't complete order ... I ordered £52 of food ... to be delivered... when asked "where is food and why taken money ? " blamed system ???? Not my system .... I offered to be cool ... stuff happens ... can't put money back in account ... why ? you took it quick enough ... after protracted conversations ... no result ... I said I would like food but charge me £25 and refund me £75 .. thought that fair .. Unbelievable... me no dinner ... and them ??? AVOID AT ALL COSTS putting it on socials .. if you want to know more ... check me ... recored everything ... its a lesson in how you shouldn't do customer service ... geezer having a row in background ... funny as ... check my...

Despite numerous times of informing them that their web site states that they do not deliver to my address when they have delivered to me many times they have done nothing to put this right. On collection of my order several customers came in with a similar experience and complained. The attitude they and myself received was of I don't care. The food is very good but they let themselves down with a poor service and I would not recommend this take away because of this. I am pleased to let you know the problem about ordering online has now been resolved with the new updated web site. I have used this new site several times without any problems. A great...
