Queni Bean — Restaurant in Charnwood

I don't like doing this, but we walked in to grab some coffees this morning while visiting from Australia and walked out again after not being acknowledged for multiple minutes while standing in front of 2 workers. One was working so admittedly couldn't serve us, but did seem to be consciously avoiding eye contact. However, the second was standing having a drink and just watching the one working. Just a smile or a good morning would have been sufficient. As we walked out, we were finally acknowledged with a sarcastic "bye." Luckily we found somewhere else to...

Popped in on a Sat morning, had been meaning to go for a while. Staffed by teenagers at that time. Disappointing. Not friendly, ordering croissants with hot chocolate (a nod to Paris Olympics just starting) seemed like hard work! Croissants warmed seemed a nice idea, but they TOASTED it!! I appreciate proprietors and regular staff need time off, but teenagers with limited life/people skills can't do...

Over promised and under delivered. After being promised a dog friendly business with Gluten Free treats, I decided to meet friends with my two puppies, who were welcomed - however my only choice was a GF chocolate orange tart, which didn’t appeal to me!

As usual, I sat watching my friends eat (after we reminded staff to bring the shortbread they ordered) ☹️
