Thai Tunnel Quorn Thai Rise — Restaurant in Charnwood

We had an excellent experience at Thai Tunnel! After being turned away from another Thai restaurant because we had a baby, we arrived here with our baby and were warmly welcomed. The staff were incredibly accommodating, and it was such a relief to find a restaurant that truly values all its customers, including families.

Parking was conveniently located nearby, and the service was prompt even though the restaurant was busy. We ordered the vegetarian platter, Thai green curry with veg and tofu, and the red curry—everything was delicious, with generous portion sizes and authentic flavours.

Food was good however quite expensive for the service. I walked in to order and was told call them to order? So I did and when I got the food they'd given me two massaman curries instead of a pad Thai and massaman curry.. (because people just order 2 of the same curry) rice was £3 for a small plate which was quite surprising also. The food we did get was really good, however really disappointed they messed our order up because we live far away. So that night curry with curry and expensive boiled rice.. Will probably skip next time because £48 for three dishes with rice is too expensive for a take...

Have been a regular customer here over the past year since moving to the area. The last 2 orders we placed for delivery have taken between an hour and 40 mins, and 2 hours to arrive. Last night we ordered our usual including a portion of golden bags. The golden bags contained frozen sweet corn and peas, not the usual minced vegetable filling, wrapped in a won ton wrapper, and there was no sauce, and I paid £5.50 for the privilege, not impressed! Especially as we waited 2 hours for it to arrive. After our recent experiences, I won’t be placing anymore...
