I was quite disappointed with the food. I ordered the garlic chilli lamb - the lamb was cooked to perfection 👌 but the masala really let the dish down. I mean judging by the dish's name, you'd expect it to be savoury in every sense of the word. Why on earth did they add sugar to the dish? The dish was ruined by the sweet aftertaste. The only reason I can think that they add sugar is to cater for the locals. The naan was lovely. The pilau rice was another disappointment I mean it had multicoloured rice that you usually associate with sweet rice. This place seem to like to add sugar to everything. Leaving the taste buds confused. The locals obviously like the place as it probably caters to their taste buds. By the time we had finished the place was rammed full. Definitely not for me. If you're from a south Asian background you probably will be disappointed too.

Me and my partner decided to go for a meal at Saffron Ivy, however they were fully booked so we tried the red rose instead. The food was okay, I had the chicken tandoori, which was alright but I was expecting abit of kick but it wasn't spicy at all. My partner had the vegetable curry, which he enjoyed but thought the curry had more sauce than vegetables. We both really enjoyed the dipping sauces and the poppadoms. The staff were pleasant, the service was fast and the food is reasonably priced! The red rose is worth a try especially if you like milder options when having a curry.

I made a telephone order for 4 people for home delivery - Quite a painful experience as everything has to be repeated 3 times.

Went back over the order to confirm, the person taking the order confirmed everything and then I paid by card. Got three phone calls from the delivery driver as the restaurant had given him my surname as the street name and he couldn't find the house. I opened the bag and found we were one meal missing, called the restaurant who denied all knowledge of making a mistake (despite failing to even get the address right?!)

I was really annoyed as my meal was missing, HOWEVER, having had a small amount of the other three, I'm REALLY glad!!! All the meals tasted exactly the same, sickly sweet with the only difference being the colour...

Worst Indian I've had food from it was actually a blessing NOT to get my meal (despite being charged for it!) I would recommend avoiding Red Rose for takeaway...
