Review by an INDIAN for so called Indian food: Save your evening, taste buds, money and health by 'NOT' visiting there. The food is utter rubbish, everything was reheated, I wasn't lucky to get anything fresh there. We ordered tea but cup was chipped! Re-heated Garlic naan was served with no traces of garlic. Mushrooms were served with rotten vegetable leaves. Daal was re-heated with a layer on the top which you can attain only with at least one day old daal! Paneer pakora was served in the name of paneer tikka, which is lame! Funny enough, when a waiter was queried about the dish, he couldn't recognise it, whatever was served was so disgusting that we had to return it. Kumbhi (mushroom) paneer was sweet, never had anything like that!! In the end you get hand written bill (as you can see attached here) - you know why hand written :)) WORST FOOD I HAD IN A LONG TIME

I've been to this restaurant for the last couple of years and this place just keeps getting better and better. This menu is varied with a variety of chef's specials and the usual traditional restaurant curries. The food is cooked fresh, the flavours are exotic but still balanced and the portions are decent too. This place is great for both work dos and family oriented meals. The restaurant is clean and the staff are welcoming and polite.

I went to the restaurant because of its good rating. The restaurant ambience and staff is nice. But the food was not great. My expectation was higher as the staff seemed to be from south Asia but food was no where near authentic Indian. I would strongly recommend not to order papri chat. I literally got the papri, potato masala and the yogurt separately. That was bizarre.

Greedy and unprofessional!

We were looking to our first ever visit here on 08/12/23 as the reviews for this place looked really good. Booked a table for 3 people at 8:15pm. We arrived a minute or two late and the waiter said to take a seat, no problem.

Note, the place was completely at capacity (huge Christmas parties) and there were others already in the waiting area. The signs were not promising but we persevered. About 20 minutes had passed and I went to the bar to get an ETA on the table and another ‘Manager’ was extremely rude to me, basically shouting at me and making out it was my fault. I remained calm, asked for some complimentary drinks and we continued to wait.

Waited, waited and waited. About 45 minutes later that ‘Manager’ said the table would be ready shortly, just as we were starting to get up and leave. Needless to say we did not stay for dinner! It’s Christmas, I appreciate restaurants are going to be busy but this could easily have been avoided if they declined our booking instead of accepting it, knowing full well they had huge Christmas party bookings which are going to take up a lot of time (and space!) But no, this place was just being greedy, trying to seat as many people as possible to make as much money as possible. No care whatsoever for customers. This isn’t a fast food restaurant!

Many other people waiting said it isn’t usually like this but unfortunately this was our first impression of this place and you don’t get a second chance to make a first impression. Please try to be less greedy and look after your customers instead of trying to rush people in and out.

Moral of the story, don’t go during December or any other really busy periods. And don’t think that just because you have a booking, you have a booking…

PS. we actually went across the road to Balti Walla who were very accommodating and the food...

RuppaC Reading, United Kingdom 147 Pending review amazing food and experience

We came from Reading for a short break to Cheltenham. The staff firstly helped and guided us with the parking which is just across the road. The owner was very friendly and obliging. He discussed the menu and suggested which dishes we may like. We didnt have to wait long for our first course. The meal arrived and as we had taken an interest in two dishes the Chef sent us a portion of both dishes as our starter. It was well presented and was piping hot . The Chicken Chaat was amazing and so delicious. The main course was Bhuna lamb. It was beautifully tender and tasty with just the right amount of spices and chillies. The naan bread was soft and the meal was just first class. Our deepest thanks goes to the chef Ripon who made these amazing dishes. He also sent us a lentil dish as a complimentary dish and once again this was so tasty. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and Shahan the owner was so humble as we praised him for the meal. We will definitely visit this place again as one who knows how to cook asian food I have to say the meal was...

I had a great dining experience at Indian Brasserie in Cheltenham. The food was authentic, well-prepared, and full of flavour.

We ordered the chicken pakora, chicken tikka, and butter naan—all three dishes were excellent. The pakora was crispy and fresh, the chicken tikka was tender and perfectly spiced, and the naan was soft and buttery, fresh from the tandoor.

The service was professional and attentive throughout the evening. Staff were friendly, helpful with menu suggestions, and ensured we had everything we needed without being intrusive.

The restaurant’s ambience was warm, clean, and nicely decorated—great for both casual dinners and special occasions.

Prices are slightly on the higher side, but the quality and experience make it worthwhile. Overall, a very satisfying visit. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for quality Indian food...
