Ok so if you've been looking for a great place for Brunch. Here it is. We walked in to a busy place and where told it would only be a short wait in the outside area at the back. As it was raining we could not sit there, it was ok to wait. We sat at a long table that we shared with another group. Me and my other half sat and ordered a Cafetier to share. The only reason this is not a 5 star review is that the coffee was not in any way what I would call great. The Cafetiere was either old or just not a good one as when you pushed the plunger down no matter how hard you tried it just blew all the coffee up the side of the jug and I was not a fan of the brand or strength. I am however also a very fussy guy when it comes to coffee. We both ordered the Blacksmith and dam that's a value you just can't beat. So much food it was scary. It was all really good. I would just maybe add the choice if you want your sausage deep fried or not as I do eat them deep fried but not a first choice and the waitress look at me oddly when I asked for my eggs to be soft. They did not come out like rubber at least. The place is really nice and cosy and is go back for sure.

Two visits there now, slightly different experiences. My first visit. Lovely bistro on Bath Street in Cheltenham. Very colourful inside and out. Has a pretty set up in it's garden with heaters and blankets. Staff very pleasant and friendly. Food is fab, good variety but not too much variety so what they offer is of a consistent good quality. Love that they serve a breakfast menu till 2.45pm. Reasonable prices. Very popular, so booking is advised! Has unisex toilets. Has its own shop next door with some great food, wine and gins to buy....good place for gifts. Will definitely go here again! 2nd visit for lunch, beginning of July 2024 Much slower service and it wasn't that busy, took almost an hour for our food to arrive. Standard of food wasn't quite as good as before. Has the chef changed recently? Sadly Eggs Benedict was not quite up to the same standard as before, Hard poached eggs, not as much hollandaise sauce, so meal was quite dry. My daughter was little disappointed with her ham and cheese panini meal too. Will visit again, but hopefully food will be better next time.

We heard great things and decided to try it out, the venue was gorgeous and staff were smiley and attentive. The food, however, was incredibly average. Salmon eggs benedict tasted good, but was thrown on the plate carelessly, a very expensive dish presented like it came from a cheap diner. What was worse is my partner's steak, he asked for medium rare but it was blue, was probably on the heat for about 0.3 seconds before being served, again, careless. The coffee I got was also done terribly and came to the table looking like its been sitting on the counter for a while. We did come on a sunday as the last batch of customers before closing, but we were really looking forward to this place and were incredibly disappointed. Seems like its quantity over quality, and absolutely no effort put in to the food. For such a beautiful interior, the food was not beautiful at all. Highly unlikely to come back..

Slap up breakfast the only trademark being no internet should reflect price. Non-existent customer service. Don't have time to write this but if I don't I might crash my van. Came out physio my body became in shock from the cold, I walked up and down highstreet until calmed and decided I needed to sit down and eat before driving. Didn't listen to table requests several times no service. Cappuccino totally separated because rushed. Cold steak more rare than anything fat not seared. No checkback. Had to get own steak knife, still didn't get hint. No butter or plate for toast. Egg not great. Tiny amount vegetables very small portion on the "monster" breakfast. Hash brown overdone. Finally to my surprise the manager came to check back with plates in her hands when steak is 90% finished. Totally ignorant of complaint and no attempt to resolve. Manager was at front and watched me pay and walk out. Crying shame I'm a good tipper and customer service would have saved this situation no problem. These kind of people don't deserve to be trading, carried by location and high prices. I've worked in hospitality myself and this was appauling by any standards. So disappointed even more so when the whole team is female you would expect some nurturing especially on a Monday late morning. How could it be worse really? Go to the Frogmill and see how a £20 breakfast should come. Shocked beyond belief now I got this off my chest I can hopefully get on with my busy day. Shame I didn't have time to...

Didn’t have the best experience here this morning. The girl with the red hair needs to find a new job. Although the words she was saying were polite she was so rude in general. We couldn’t hear each other over the music coming from the back. Every time we struggled to understand each other she paused for a few seconds and gave me a disgusted look as if I was the stupidest person in the world, then spoke to me with the most patronising attitude. She was nice to the lady who got served after me but stared at her back as she left and started talking about the woman with the server with blond hair and a shiny face. Interesting choice of decor in the place. New wallpaper that looks like a filthy run down cafe? To top it off I was hoping the food would at least cheer me up but it was sub par and you don’t get much for the money spent. The bacon was freezing cold and I ate it as soon as I got home, I don’t live very far away. They don’t have to worry about seeing me in there again. If anyone asks where we should go for food I will be steering them away from this place. Perfect place for workers to get breakfast in the morning who don’t care about what they’re eating. And the red haired server did at least offer me a seat while I waited. The vibe was just off over all. If the staff don’t want to be there I suggest they change career. And get a...

I know my review really wont matter as they have enough 5 star reviews and local audiences that love the food. So I am not giving them a star, I would rather give 5 stars as well if that makes them happy. But - I am truly dissapointed.

And the 5 star and ambience is exactly why we wanted to visit this place for our breakfast. We travelled all the way from London and wanted to reserve the table for 11 of us, it is fair that they do not reserve the table for 11 on weekends. We took 3 taxis and travelled to the place and the staff was very unfriendly. I don't know if it was just a bad day, but we were told "This isn't a good place for you, we are too busy and there is no point for you to wait, go somewhere else".

We have been to several restaurants during this weekend trip and every time the places have been more than happy to let us wait and accomodate us in split tables or fragment 4 people a table but here were were simply told "the place is not good enough for you".

Eventually went to a nearby cafe lounge ( i would not name or give credit ) but they were more friendlier and we had good brunch.

I really hope we could visit this place as it is truly great by the pictures...
