Anika Restaurant — Restaurant in Cherwell District

The staff were generally polite, although perhaps they need to exercise a bit more decorum when presenting the bill; not allowing the customer enough time to scrutinise the list of items is not good practice! Particularly when there had already been a discrepancy earlier when we’d to remind them of missing items. The food was very average and the spicy dishes not spicy at all. Of course you can request it to be made hotter but that would simply involve chucking in additional spice which isn’t the same as the dish being actually cooked in it from the start. The restaurant itself smelled of damp/mould and the toilets were not cleaned property. In the ladies there was evidence of dried vomit (or something very similar) around the washbasin for example. With so many Indian restaurants to choose from in the town you would expect that those who want to be the best of the bunch would make an effort. Sadly Anica doesn't fall within that category and we will not be returning, or even using it for a take away...

I have been meaning to post this review since last week (28th Sept 2021). Rahim and the Anica's team were FANTASTIC in helping to organise a surprise birthday (takeaway-dinner) for close friends of my wife, for her birthday. My role was to organise the people, collect the orders and arrange delivery time. EVERYTHING went without a hitch - this is thanks to Rahim and the Anica's team. THANK YOU for making my wife's birthday eventful and also providing us with lovely bottles of beer and wine and additional food items. For anyone wanting to find a venue (for surprise event) or organise for takeaway party dinner - look no further than the Anica's team. They will definintly do everything to make your surprise...

We had a table for five this evening the restaurant was recommended by a work colleague we arrived at 7.30pm not greeted at the door but walking up to the bar for our table 8 pm we were asked if would like poppadoms and pickles 20minz later we had to ask to order i ordered king prawn Tandoori which when arrived was cold and very rubbery my mains were butter chicken obviously sliced chicken tossed in a butter sauce which was also cold but served in a warm bowl mushroom rice also tepid when i complained to the server he was very nonchalant and dismissive wouldn’t listen to my point an absolute shambles of a restaurant avoid avoid avoid the toilets...
