During our recent adventure to an unfamiliar area, we chose to unwind with a late lunch at B C Thai restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience had us wishing we’d gone elsewhere.
As we stepped inside, we were greeted by complete silence—no warm welcomes, just a table cluttered with menus, setting a messy tone for what was to come. The restaurant was dimly lit and felt cramped, filled with overwhelming oriental decor that contributed to a stuffy ambiance. A distinct moldy odor lingered in the air, making us second-guess our choice.
Seated by the reception area, we waited about fifteen minutes before anyone decided to acknowledge our presence. When a staff member finally approached us, her unwelcoming demeanor was shocking. Instead of offering respectful, courteous assistance, she raised her voice and became hostile, making it clear that time was not on our side as we tried to peruse the menu.
Despite our urge to walk out due to the poor service, we opted for takeout. The food was prepared quickly, which made us skeptical about the portion sizes, especially with a £40 bill for just four items. When we checked our takeout, we felt let down by the meager servings.
Then came the moment of truth: the food. Unfortunately, the prawns were overcooked, resembling dark brown remnants rather than freshly cooked tasty prawns. To top it all off, the sauce was way too spicy, and we hadn’t even been asked about our preferences.
Ultimately, a perfect storm of lackluster customer service, disappointing food quality, and skimpy portions made our visit to B C Thai restaurant an experience to forget. If we could turn back time, we’d have chosen the nearby Wimpy’s Burgers, which looked brighter, cleaner, and more inviting. A one-star rating would hardly do justice to this dismal outing; it was indeed our first and last visit to this...
Read morefood are really good and nice, but one female staff constantly rushing us, since we sit down already rushed us, but that’s okay, if you want us to finish meal in an hour time, but she didn’t say anything and our table is not reserved for someone else, she keeps on saying it’s busy it’s busy needa order, then after everything arrived, then we want to order one bowl of rice, just one. which i’m pretty sure this is like ready, and she was not happy that we make one extra order, again saying it’s going to be busy, which i can tell, but doesn’t mean i cannot wait, i can wait. In the end, she even asked us how long do we want to sit, seems like she want us gone, saying someone might need this table, but there’s no one queuing, tbh, it annoyed me so much, it’s not like i just order one rice and wanted to sit for two...
