Coffee#1 Bicester — Restaurant in Cherwell District

Went here with a friend and our children. For my 6 year old I ordered the Dark chocolate triangle and a chocolate babyccino. He liked the cake but was disappointed that there was little foam in his drink and the lack of mini marshmallows. He likes to scoop the foam off with marshmallows then drink the rest.

My 4 year old loved his coconut babyccino and ate all of his vegan chocolate triangle - and finished his brothers.

My friend wanted a hot chocolate - they had run out and she had to have a white hot chocolate instead, it was nothing special - stock levels need addressing.

I was incredibly unsatisfied by my coffee. I asked for a capuccino with a shot of caramel, just to give it a little sweetness - I order this in every coffee shop I have ever been to and have never been let down. However, instead I was TOLD I would be having a caramel macchiato... that's not a cappuccino with a shot of caramel now is it? They put the caramel in, made the coffee then added, what I can only presume, was caramel ice cream topping. It was horrible! I couldn't drink it! There was no creamy foam on top and I had to ask for a sprinkle of chocolate powder - which any good coffee shop will automatically do. I was essentially given a flat white coffee with a disgusting combination of caramel flavourings and a pinch of powder on top.

I understand that the member of staff that made our drinks was training, but there was no quality control by a supervisor on the drinks she was putting out. I will not be going back for a while. Regular visitor to this coffee shop with my wife. Visited today and was very disappointed with the length of time to get served and also for the time the coffees to be made. Only one person in front of me waiting, had to wait whilst staff member cleared tables, then came back to have a chat with her colleague, then finally served the person in front of me. His order was taken, the staff member went off for a minute or so, then started chatting with her colleague again, I felt totally ignored. Finally I was served. Whilst my order for coffee was being prepared, the staff members seemed to be moaning about the company and other employees, this continued all the time we were in there. Not good, this should have waited until out of ear shot of customers as they were talking quite loud. The coffees as usual were very good, best in Bicester but the staff do need direction and two persons to make the coffee. They always seem to be understaffed and 9/10 you have to wait much longer than Costa across the road. Very...

Very friendly staff and better coffee than more popular high street brands. The setting inside is cozy and the kerbside seating interesting. Keep up the good work guys.

Sadly this is an edit and not a great one. The coffee, setting and seating remains as above. However, the staff and service has plummeted to the point where I had to walk out today. This was my second visit today and they messed up my order. They did rectify it without a problem, but if they actually listened to the customer they would get it right. On my second visit, my wife and I stood for about 5 minutes at the till waiting to be served.
