Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Chesterfield

Ny order was placed at 16:48 on Friday 1st March for delivery at 18:45. I checked the app as the order hadn't arrived at 7pm and it showed the food was out of the oven and being quality checked at 18:26.

I continued to track the order and could see it was given to a despatch driver around 19:05 - living less than 10 minutes from the store I expected the order shortly thereafter. The order changed to delivered at 19:20 but still nothing had arrived. I rang the store and spoke to someone and they said the delivery was still on the way. When I asked if the pizza and sides had been ready and sat waiting since 18:26 I was advised it was an "app error" and the food would arrive fresh. At 19:38 the delivery driver came with the food, almost an hour late and at the doorstep I checked the temperature - the food was cold! I spoke with the driver and explained it was not acceptable and he offered to take the food back and return with another order; I told the driver to return the food; I did not want a replacement and that I wanted my money back as by the time replacement food was made and despatched it would be literally hours late.

I have checked my bank account this morning and can see the order amount has been taken from my account for food which was not acceptable and was returned at the doorstep due to being cold and over an hour since cooked.

Placed an order at 3:38pm for collection at 4:30pm. When we collected the pizza it was not hot, and when I called to complain, I was told that they make the order at the time the order comes through regardless of the time you choose for collection. So we collected an order that had been sitting on the counter for almost 45 minutes prior to the time we ordered for collection. The customer service was absolutely terrible! I was told that it wasn’t their responsibility and that I have to call them up to tell them to make it fresh if that’s what I want, when I had already chosen the time for collection to be 4:30pm and not ASAP. Placed an order and the tracker updated to say it was delivered 23:03, just after closing, so couldn't ask why it hadn't actually been delivered. Called the next day, first time they said they will call me back in 15 minutes, an hour later I called again and they said nobody was around to help but took my details. Next evening I rang again to be told that the driver claimed they had delivered and that we would have to take it up with their head office - nobody came to our house, we have a Ring doorbell, they have lied to us, wasted my time, and I'm still working to recover the money they basically...
