Presumably the ancient mulberry tree that once was venerated there was chopped down. The garden remains beautiful albeit the absence of on site protection and resident gardners. The grassy hill where courting couples once lay has been trashed by someone's ego trip of a circular abstract feature that fails to match the inate beauty of the natural grassy bank that it replaced. Read moreWhat an asset this place should be - the children’s activity area is fine, the wooded area is fine but the house is a disaster. I remember this in the 1970s and 1980s, beautiful rose gardens and walkways, a great place to be - the house was great too. Now the place just looks so run down - gardens now just don’t exist - just grass (although cut) looking very bland.
