Ordered the salmon and prawn Mac and cheese but what came was rubbery chunks of fish and penne swimming in a watery tasteless sauce topped with crushed Doritos… I couldn’t manage more than a few mouthfuls, it was inedible and it’s made me feel gross for the rest of the day. The cheesy chips the kids had were great and the fish and chips looked alright but £18 for this meal was appalling.

Impromptu stop here whilst ambling about the seafront, glad we did. Welcome was warm, drinks, food and service were all very good. Plenty of outside seating. Located just behind the RNLI Lifeboat Station so just a stones throw from the beach and a 10 minute walk to the town.

Absolutely gorgeous place to stop during a beach front wander. Great food and very welcoming staff kind staff. The Selsey crab sandwich is highly recommended! Thank you to the lady who brought a bowl of water out for our little dog a lovely touch 🤗

Sadly our experience of this pub was not positive! We were highly recommended this pub, but after our experience we would not return!

We do feel our baby was discriminated against. We asked the staff for some boiling hot water for our baby's bottle so we could make her formula milk up and we were denied. They said they could put it in a pot and we could scoop it up and put it in our baby's bottle. I informed the manager that as soon as the water is put in another container then it is contaminated. He said he could not offer anything else! I offered to go and fill it up myself but he said because of health and safety I was not allowed in the kitchen to do this. So the only option was to put boiling hot water in a pot, bring it out to us and we fill it up this way by scooping it up, potentially burning ourselves in the process or the risk of spiling it on ourselves or others! As we were dining with our toddler I did not see this as a safe option.

The manager blamed it all on health and safety but how was his solution a safer option? Such a same as we would have loved to have stayed longer but our experience was cut short by these rules!

Not family friendly at all! Would not return...

This place served potato peelings deep fried! They were disgusting and very salty. There's a reason they ditch the skins when peeling. Ordered a BLT with cheese. I got a BLT with no lettuce. When I requested lettuce for myself and my partner who had ordered the same dish, I was told by a member of staff that the side garnish was my lettuce! She did take it to the kitchen and they slapped some lettuce in the ciabatta roll, and sent some half dead lettuce with it in a side dish for my partner. Most was unusable. The dish was expensive for what it was, the bacon was nice but not crispy at all neither was the masses of fat. The bacon portions were generous but not cooked as it should be. I had to cut all the fat off before I could eat it. There was really no browning on the bacon at all. It could have been boiled for lack of colour. Very expensive and not well made. Won't...

Lovely old building a stones throw from the beach, though a bit messed about to make space for a hoped-for holiday influx. We were there on the last day of July, and we might have made it a dozen customers if you squinted, though to be fair there were showers and it was a generally damp Thursday. Though the bitter was absolutely first class and delicious, it's nuts that the kitchen shut at 19:45 and they really wouldn't feed us, arriving at 19:51 ...?!? Come on. Seemed a little silly, given the kitchen staff spent the next hour cleaning up while we grabbed some chips elsewhere and returned to enjoy several of those delicious pints. Staff were lovely and very professional. But the few regular customers are yesterday's men, talking about how things were, and the pub's still yearning for something I don't think it can ever recreate. Beer's...
