Consistently exceptional. These words best describe 81 Water Street. I have visited on a number of occasions now and on every single visit, I have been highly impressed. Especially by the food and its presentation. But also by the owner and staff. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and has a really homely feel to it. I think one of the standouts as far as the atmosphere is concerned, is that I've never felt rushed. Even when the restaurant is busy, the staff are super patient and attentive. However, it was a little bizarre- I got a ceaser salad with huge chunks of Lettuce not cut up and it strangely had tenderstem brocolli and green beans it in. It was nice enough, and huge, but I spent a good 5 minutes having to cut everything up. We asked for water to start with and we were brought and charged for bottled water - I guess we didn't specify tap water but I'd have expected that to be the assumption. Overall, I wouldn't go back as it was overall just...
