La Rocca Restaurant & Takeaway — Restaurant in Chorley

What a restaurant!!!! My partner and I tried this place for a change and omg we are so glad we did!! The service from Jade was exceptional she could not do enough for us...she made us feel special...she's such a star and a lovely lovely person...the food was absolutely delicious and fresh.....Jade was very attentive as was the chef who came out to speak to us after our meal.....we enjoyed the whole experience that much that we rebooked to go back with our two nieces a 5 yr old and 8 yr old....what can I say other than they loved it...made to feel so welcome and they were made a fuss of (which they like) they are not big eaters but they ate everything....one had lasagne and the other had spaghetti bolognese not forgetting the garlic bread 🙈 the food was piping hot and served promptly when requested. Jade even took our nieces for lollipops that they had spied 😂😂. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough and I cannot rate jade enough...she's a total asset...there was also a young girl working that night who was attending to our table (which I might add was upstairs) I didn't get her name but she was equally brilliant!!! Our nieces have been asking to go back...but not...

The mark of a great, family-owned restaurant is the way they handle customers when things go wrong.After a disappointing experience I had decided not to return to La Rocca. Out of the blue the owner/chef Patrick telephoned me to apologise and explained what had gone wrong that night and why. He was open, honest and genuinely disappointed about our experience. He wanted to make things right with us. Independent businesses rely on a loyal customer base for their reputation, and livelihood, and especially continued support when times are tough. We were proud to support La Rocca during the lockdowns and will continue to do so in these challenging economic times. Good Independent restaurants provide excellent customer service in a way chains can’t compare. Supporting local businesses supports your local economy as your money is spent locally with suppliers, and wages for local people. So many independents and small businesses went to the wall during the pandemic. If we want choices locally, we need to support locally… if we don’t we will end up with choices limited to the big corporates like Starbucks, Pizza Hut, Costa,...

We ordered a take out and it came stone cold. It was the saltiest meal we have ever had to the point were it’s caused our mouths to feel very uncomfortable. The chicken dish I had was bland and had no colour on the onions, peppers and the chicken itself. It was as if the meal was boiled, it just had no flavour and was basically tinned tomato’s, chicken and transparent vegetables. The spicy garlic bread was stone cold and had about 3 tiny pieces of chilli on it. Chips were absolutely rubbish, deffo frozen and full of salt again. I would call it disgusting but it was just too bland to refer to it as disgusting!! Even something disgusting has some...
