On Tuesday 28th December, I visited this unique real ale den The bar had a great choice of handpumed delicious ales on offer There is a serving hatch opposite the bar, which is unique The pub has a nice frontage and a wooden floor room at the front, which I sat in The staff and customers in this place are all really polite and helpful But when the beer is sorted in the cellar, beware of the hole in the front room Saturday 6th July 2024 Again, we came to this fantastic pub it had as on my last visit a really good choice of exquisitely interesting hand pumped real ales . This pub is a pub with 2 bars and entrances to it the interior of both bars are the same as my last visit. Jorvic was surprised to find out we came here in 2019. Seems like a lifetime ago. Bigger than I remember..or have they expanded? Has two bars now. Large corner room, room off to back and another room with the better real ale selection. Jorvic had an all time favourite; Loweswater Gold from Cumbria brewery. Yummy. Friday afternoon seems to be turn up and play music session. ( first and third Friday of the month.) Something like 24 - 30 musicians joining in. Nice friendly place, been wanting to visit it for long time, at the time I was in, fri afternoon full off men but as a female didn't get no bother from them but would suggest entering via the adjoining tearooms to avoid simultaneous head swiveling on entering.
