Cobbs Cafe — Restaurant in City of Edinburgh

Poor hygiene, tables filthy cutlery filthy, leaking fridge with clothes jammed underneath have mould on them, floors are sticky, coffee grinding are hasn’t been cleaned in days, fallen coffee has gone matted, I’m surprised they are trading, the council should defo visit as hygiene needs major improvement. Food is mediocre, soggy tuna toasty because the waters not been drained properly with crisp on the side 8.95, needs huge improvement, staff need trained to be friendly and hygienic I had to wipe down my own table because they don’t wipe down tables they just remove dirty dishes off the table but don’t wipe clean after, my second visit and definitely last, have dropped the council an email about the standards and sent over pics, hopefully they can improve because it’s a nice...

The young man who was running the cafe today (7 Sep 25) should be applauded. 👏

We waited in the queue to make our order. When we got to the front of the queue he said that he was a lone member of staff in the cafe and that there would be a 20+ minute delay because he needed to catch up on previous orders.

We were there with 2 elderly parents whose personal circumstances meant we couldn't wait 20+ minutes for lunch so we had to head home.

While the food is good, coffee & tea is fine. But lunchtime between 11am and 1:30 pm there simply isn't enough staff. You either get your tea & coffee first and that's cold before you get your food. I've watched a number of people complain and staff keep having to apologise. I asked one member of staff if they got a break she just laughed and shook her head.
