I'm a big Nando's fan and have thoroughly enjoyed my experiences at several of their other locations, which I would easily rate 5 stars. However, this particular Nando's location is a major disappointment and the worst I've been to.
To start, the food quality here is severely lacking. The peri-peri chicken, which is normally the star of the show at Nando's, was incredibly bland and tasteless. It's as if the kitchen just rushed through the preparation without properly seasoning or cooking the chicken. Even the sides like the chips/fries seemed underseasoned and subpar.
The service was also a major letdown. The staff seemed hurried and disinterested, barely acknowledging us as customers. Getting our orders taken, receiving our food, and getting refills on our drinks all took far longer than it should have. It felt like the staff just wanted to get us in and out as quickly as possible.
And speaking of drinks, the worst part of this Nando's visit was the fountain drinks. They tasted absolutely watered down, like they were just serving straight tap water. For a restaurant chain that prides itself on quality, this was a shocking disappointment, especially since we were paying a premium for the unlimited refills.
Overall, I'm shocked at how much this Nando's location missed the mark compared to all the others I've been to. The food was tasteless, the service was rushed and uncaring, and even the drinks were subpar. I'd give this specific location just 2 stars. I'll continue visiting other Nando's, but I won't be returning to this one...
Read moreFirst time to this restaurant. I'm in a wheelchair so this review is from a disabled persons point of view . The front had a step but a portable ramp was brought out for us to get in. We were shown to our table given menus. Since it was our first time a lovely waitress called Donna helped us choose. She went over all the choices, brought all the sauces etc for us to try. She was absolutely amazing. Imo Donna is a great asset to this restaurant. Couldn't fault the service. But a tiny criticism is our waitress and also another waiter talked and looked at my friend who I was with and didn't converse with me hardly at all. It happens all the time. My legs don't work but there is nothing wrong with my mouth or my brain. So maybe try treating the disabled as a normal customers would be amazing. Most disabled people can talk and think for themselves. Disabled toilet was big enough, clean and the red emergency cord reached the ground, very important to call if on the ground you have to be able to reach the cord. Food was a bit on the sml side, we had a share platter and sides. My friend said the garlic bread was a bit hard. But overall a good experience. Would come again. But Donna top class, made our experience better. If manager reads this review I hope they tell her what a good job...
Read moreMyself and a group of friends went to Nandos on Lothian Road a few nights ago for a friends birthday, and we were sat right next to the door , that swung open ever 2 seconds, blasting us with cold air Brrrrrrrrrrrr ...its was freezing outside and not much warmer inside either. I cannot enjoy food feeling cold. The table was a massive round one - probably the biggest they had and I guess whilst it was good of them to accommodate a group of 10 of us, the table was so large you could not talk to the person opposite you. Hmmm. This was my second time in Nando's and I remembered why I didnt think it was anything special the last time. We choose what we wanted and headed up to the counter to order, of which only two were serving, sometimes one and their was already a queue. My meal cost £12. I ordered the chicken wrap, with cheese and medium salsa and Piri Piri Fries. When i got my food i found i had very little chicken barely any salsa or cheese - so no 'kick' at all to my food, and mediocre fries sprinkles in the piri piri. They were keen to get us in and then back out, and the ladies toilets had no toliet roll...I can think of plenty of places id like to eat alot more for £12, and like alot of chain restaurants, it wasnt...
