Oz Cafe — Restaurant in City of Edinburgh

We've been decent customers over the past few years, so had no hesitation placing a £16 order on Just Eat for 4 "hot rolls", juice, etc...

These "hot rolls" arrived freezing cold, over 2 hours late (nearly 3 hours after the order was placed) and in a total mess at the bottom of the bag - non of the filling was still in the rolls and the tissue paper had joined to the filling, meaning we couldn't just reheat and rebuild the rolls as the tissue paper was now part of the food.

The owner wanted nothing to do with us - no refund (despite asking), no offer for more fresh food to be delivered, nothing... His only response was "I'm too busy"...

I'm sure they left your cafe hot and presentable, but something must have happened between leaving your cafe and arriving to us which the owner has taken zero responsibility for. Shocking service start to finish, ended up cooking our own breakfast instead (well lunch by this time) and binned the rest. Total joke and a huge waste of food and money. Basically paid £16 for 2 cans of juice to be delivered.

Won't be back, wouldn't recommend and hopefully this guy learns how to treat his customers with a bit more respect and decency, as this could have easily been resolved quickly and amicably.

Ohh, one last thing - maybe if you know the order is going to be that late, pick up the phone and let your customer know??? Better that than accepting every order without being able to fulfil basic order requirements (eg. hot and on time or at the very least warm).

My recent experience here was terrible. We ordered two coffees, only to find that we were charged double. After realising this, he tried to justify by saying that our coffees were "large," despite us not asking for large and the fact that only one size of takeaway cup was available. He then proceeds to try tell us he charged us an extra £4 for oat milk? Also, after looking at the receipt, we noted additional charges for hazelnut and syrups, items which were not included in our order at all? After this issue was raised, he was very rude and even asked for us to not return again, which believe me after tasting that coffee was never going to happen anyways, but he was very rude. Avoid this place it’s just a scam and be careful with how much you pay in case he tries to charge you extra...

Ordered two breakfast today through just eat at 11.10am got a text from just eat at 12.10 saying food is on its way and I live 15 minutes drive from the cafe. Food still wasn't here by 12.40 so phoned the cafe up and was told they are really busy and the drivers have a few orders at any one time. 1pm came and still no food so phoned back and was told the food hadn't left the shop yet by another member of staff. Food arrived at 13:30 and was warm and got a complimentary can of Pepsi for the 2hrs and 20 minutes wait. I know cafes can be busy but at Some point they shouldn't take anymore orders until they caught up as no-one should be left waiting over 2 hours for...
