I was called yesterday to say that they couldn’t deliver my food as there was road works and it would take 1hr and was trying to get a refund straight away as that was the only money I had left till today when I got paid. I was told I could get the food but it would be cold and I said no as I am not going to pay for cold food the lady I spoke to said it would take 3 to 5 working days then it changed to 5 to 7 working days and I was not happy with this as I then couldn’t order anything else as had no money left I also asked if I could get my order from another shop but there wasn’t one close enough I also asked to speak to the manager that I couldn’t and she went to call someone to try fix the problem and couldn’t solve it and she said I could call and speak to a manager tomorrow and I did but still couldn’t speak to manager and the guy was rude to me when I was explaining what happened and said well I should budget better and said is that all and that he has better things to do so I said to him that he’s being quiet rude and he said I was rude yesterday to the lady. Read moreI was just spoken to via the phone more rudely than I have ever been spoken to in any transactional conversation I have ever had. Ordering online provides no option to adding extra pizza sauce to your pizza while being made. This has always been the case. A call to customer service 4 years ago to ask what I could do told me to place the order and call the site immediately to ask them to add it while making the pizza. This has been the process on dozens of orders. Until tonight... Tuesday 30 September 2025 at 18:40. Whoever answered the phone needs to be fired. He proceeded to tell me that "he wouldn't do that even if he wanted to, and that if I couldn't pay for my pizza, they didn't want me as a customer." I had already placed the £40.67 order for 2 pizzas at this time. Unacceptable. I don't want to eat the pizza now that I'm sure he spit in, and I am trying everything to remain a gentleman and not go over to check if he is ok... Completely unacceptable. I will file a complaint with their corporate office now, and call them in the morning to make sure they got it....
Read moreUPDATE: On 6 August Papa John's have been in touch regarding my feedback I sent to them and apologised for the mistake. They gave me a full refund for the order and a voucher for a free large pizza. Last night (24.7.2021) I oredered 2 large pizzas. A Garden Party and a Vegan Garden Party. I have ordered several times until now, but surely this will be the last one. On the vegan pizza I found a slice of salami. That is totally unacceptable for me. I had trust in this store, although have read so many bad reviews about it and other stores too, I was just feeling lucky to have a PJ's near to me that respects and understands customers' dietary requirements. I am sorry, you lost 2 customers now as I will never ever buy anything from you, because of that one tiny slice of salami one of the negligent employees have placed either accidentally (?!?) or on purpose on my pizza....
