Arrived on a Friday night at 8pm, the most expensive time of the week and expected the full buffet to be available. The restaurant was very quiet and we were seated next to the door, quickly realised it was cold every time the door opened and asked to move and were moved only one row away despite the place being near empty.

Most of the starters were piled high and were cold and tasted as if they had been sitting to long. There was many empty buffet dishes and a full display they had been empty a while as they had been cleaned, which was annoying considering the high cost.

There was absolutely nothing good about this visit and it was from start to finish a waste of money. I asked for the manager when I went to pay to give them some feedback and a man a woman listened to what I was saying and apologised, all was good till another women appeared asking what the problem was and then started arguing with me! She demanded I show her the empty dishes and when I did she backed down and claimed “oh they are just desserts” despite them being in the section with a sign above saying “Chinese main dishes”. I then told her most of the starters were cold and the battered ones hard and she said that was rubbish as they were so busy, I said if you try some of them you will see they are cold. I left it at that and left, I now won’t return as you’d get better value for money and service at...

I don't often eat at buffet restaurants (read: never) but due to unusual circumstances I arrived at Beijing Banquet in this part of the city and decided to try it. It was a real experience. It was very busy, even on a Monday early evening, with large groups of people arriving every five minutes.

Most of the people eating here treat it as a very casual affair and many can be seen wearing full tracksuits or other loungewear at the restaurant. Diners tend to be quite loud and boisterous, including the children.

The food area is in the middle of the restaurant and it's effectively a row of troughs, each containing a deep fried Chinese dish in the same style as you would get from a takeaway. You can take as much of you like of everything, and you can return for more as much as you like.

The food quality seemed fine, and everything remained very warm even though it sat out while numerous people took portions from the main tray. For hygiene (presumably) you must wear disposable gloves and I think that's very sensible.

Overall, I would definitely not return (hence the 2 stars) because it's just not an environment I enjoy, but I think for many people, and for large families in particular, it can represent very good value for money. It's probably also a very convenient choice if you need to feed a large group of hungry people at speed, as there's no waiting around for...

Disappointment to be honest. I won’t be back for sure There is only 1 vegan curry option (and then some noodles, veg spring rolls) which is wild for 2025 that there isn’t more Vegan options! allergy information isn’t displayed so you’d need to ask a member of staff per each item Kitchen staff are helpful and keen to help but not so much FOH staff, the girls were just fed up (the asian guy cleaning our plates was polite and efficient) I ate a chicken spring roll that was 100% off, i got my husband to try he also spat it out and my friend agreed that it smelled like death Husband took it to staffs attention, i didn’t get an apology or acknowledgement, these things happen a simple apology would of been fine but the staff just wanted us out the door, they start cleaning up while you are still there which is fair enough but they informed us the desserts is still open/available but they turned off the chocolate fountain which was a huge shame, the girl dropped our bill off at the table even though we asked if it’s pay at the counter and she said yes but clearly was impatient and wanted us gone, if your closing time is 9:30 maybe encourage staff to take it easy until 9:30 because it’s just rubbish vibes to be honest Parking is easy with...

One of the better all you can eat Chinese buffets. So heads up for during the busy periods, we have been when there are only a few tables and food was a little dry but Friday at 6pm all the food is excellent! 👌 The selection is great with a few absolutely awesome dishes. Honey shredded chicken and satay chicken were extremely good! The duck is excellent with lovely large duck breast chunks that are both juicy on one side and crispy on the other. They have bottomless refillable drinks with Pepsi cola options. Absolutely great spot to go with the family for a special occasion. There is disabled parking and a large carpark round the back.
