Best breakfast for early birds

If you are looking for an early breakfast in Edinburgh (7 am), then there is not much choice, and this is the place to go (each day starting at 7 am, except for Sundays, then at 9 am). I know this Cafe since many years, and the excellent quality has not changed. One can choose between a large variety of breakfasts (from small to big hunger), and the prices are VERY reasonable. Somewhen after or during covid, the cafe has been renovated in part, but it still gives the feeling of older times, simple but cozy. I highly recommend it, and will certainly come back on my next trip...

Small place, not great coffee, but the breakfasts are great. You can get some solid Scottish breakfast at a great price. Also the fish and chips I saw were much cheaper than you'd usually find them in Edinburgh, it's just a pity it's not open in the evening. The people working there were really friendly, too. After unwittingly staying overnight at the flea trap that is Murrayfield Rooms we decided against having breakfast there. Instead we found Roseburn Cafe through Google maps.
