Let’s be honest you only go here when the Roseburn is full. If you’re a weary traveler in need of a pint. I can only suggest you trundle a few steps down the road to the Roseburn or in the case it’s full ,just go to the Tesco. The manager appears fed up of her customers even on the frequently quite nights. Definitely don’t ask for any paper towel. As she will happily send you down to the toilets (images below) to get some loo roll instead. All in all, a particularly uninspiring pub, give it a miss.

Very recently re-opened under new management and with a freshly painted burgundy exterior, The Murrayfield Bar & Kitchen has great food and a nice selection of beers. The staff were excellent and we walked away stuffed ordering a couple of starters and a share plate. Definitely worth popping in to grab a beer and a bite to eat.

Had lunch with friends before a rugby match at Murrayfield. It was such a great experience so will definitely be back. We were a large groups of 8 - the food was exceptional. The best part of all, it was very reasonably priced… even the drinks!

My husband and I went to Dean's village as we heard about the scenic walkway which was of course beautiful. We had made it to the end and we were exhausted. We came upon Murrayfield Bar and decided to give it a try and we were so glad we did! The bar is under new ownership and one of the owners could not have been more welcoming and delightful! We were on our honeymoon and as we are from the US we did not know much to do in the area. Despite being from Perth originally she let us know of all the great places to do, see and try. She also let me try some beers we don't have in the states free of charge so I could find my favorite. I cannot say enough about the owner as despite being tourists she made us feel like we were neighbors! They also set up a video projector for videos and music which was so fun to watch without it interfering with views of the passerbys. We cannot wait to go back. Perfect place to end a long walk with a good beers and...

I wanted to meet some old friends for lunch and the Murrayfield Bar was a convenient location. So I phoned them up on Thursday asking about booking a table for 4 at 1pm the next day. They are normally open at midday. The guy I spoke to on the phone said there was no need to book for a Friday lunchtime-we would be OK to just arrive. The next day my wife and I arrived about 5 minutes early and were surprised to find the bar semi-closed up. We entered and found a single employee and were informed that the person I spoke to the day before was late so the kitchen wasn’t ready and they planned to open at 2:30. An offer was made to phone him and get him there in 5 minutes but we declined. I have no idea what the problem was but they should have been expecting us and literally completely failed to turn up. It was all a...
