Got 2 panini's and 2 soups: tomato chorizo soup and sweet potato ckn massaman Since you choose the ingredients of the panini it's really your own responsibility for the final product to some extent, we got one with wilder stronger flavours (sriracha ckn, dark chutney, smoked cheddar) and one with lighter flavours (tikka ckn breast, brie, mango chutney) and both were good, in particular the panini bread was toasted nicely. Tomato soup was too salty, the massaman is obviously not traditional but more a cream based soup with some heat surprisingly Pretty decent all around, staff were friendly too

What a gem! I stopped with my daughter by Soupsmith in Edinburgh for coffee and I extend for lunch , the soup was just perfect — warm, flavorful, and made for the Scottish weather. The place feels super cozy, full of lovely locals, and they even have a 1000-piece puzzle on the table! I ended up staying longer than planned, sipping my soup and working on it. Such a charming and thoughtful spot — Big compliment to the owner — you’ve created such a welcoming and thoughtful place. can’t wait to go back! D. 🌻🍀

This place became our go to lunch place during our stay in Edinburgh. Good quality food, very reasonable prices and great service. 4 different soups every day and all delicious think we tried every one. Great filled rolls, baked potato and daily specials. Home cooked and so tasty. Shout out to Christopher. 🤛👏 Open 7 days a week!

The owner was not wearing a face mask as she rudely pointed out it had just been made the law on that day. However I did not know and stood behind the 2 meter line and they also had a glass screen up . I was showing no symptoms and the R rates are down so we are not where we were a few weeks ago. They then refused to serve me and rudely ordered me out . What I take issue with apart from the double standards on rude service on the day , was that during the weeks I've been a regular in lock down I have seen staff break social distancing with customers and other customers do so , their hygienic practices have left a lot to be desired at times however I did not make an issue out of it , however it seems a lot of business's at the moment are expedient when they lay down the law . The place is over priced the coffee included and I even bought a cake on a rainy day for takeaway the girl just gave it in a bag in an...

Honestly one of the best cafes in Edinburgh. Not overpriced, good quality ingredients and Good value for money- (Definitely recommend a bacon and tattie scone roll from them! )

Even better; is that once you become a regular/known face you get a 10% discount too!

Service is brilliant - always with a smile and quick and efficient. Christopher and his team should be proud to have such an establishment.

The only thing I don’t like is that it isn’t open for longer to get more rolls! 😅 But that’s probably a good thing, otherwise I’d spend all day there getting...
