As Leith becomes more gentrified it is good to see that pubs like The Carriers Quarters has not changed one little bit. A good old fashioned boozer that many will walk past without realising it there. From the outside it looks like it might be a tiny bar but it has large seating area at the back. If you are looking for a bar to watch the footy you will get a good seat in here as well.
Good selection of beers from various local breweries such Moonwake, and the prices have stayed reasonable. One of those pubs where you will prop the bar up and end up talking everyone. popular place for people working around Leith Docks and the like so you will hear some...

Inside is a bit pokey but better around the back in the cave. I like the fire but it gets so loud and only takes one drunk to ruin the atmosphere.
The food menu suits the drinkers. Don't expect the quality of all the gastro pubs nearby but probably better than the true drinking holes...
