I visited here with my friend on Friday. She had to ask for three teapots of hot water for her tea as the water initially given was cold. The staff tried to assist and were very helpful. The issue was with the machine that was not heating the water correctly.

I visited again with my son today and ordered breakfast. I was given my food which went cold whilst waiting for my son's order. I had to ask staff on three occasions about his order and asked them to chase this up.

The staff explained that they were understaffed and were running behind on orders. The staff in this branch are very helpful and accommodating. However they can only work with what they have.

As a new branch, this needs to be addressed urgently. Customers have high expectations based on their previous experience of other branches of Victor Hugo's. The orders are currently getting to the customer far too slowly and the burden too heavy on a small number of staff left to deal with the volume of customers.

The manager needs to tackle this and enable staff to get the support that they need in order to deliver...

Meh, not really good.

Table was dirty, I had to ask for a blue roll to clean it up.

After ordering we waited about 35 mins for the foot to come. My partner waited for another 7-10 mins for hers to come. They don’t even bother to serve the food at the same time so I had to start as my partner watched me eat.

I had a Waffle with bacon and poached eggs but came with fried eggs instead, was very plain, not even chives or anything to make it look more appetising. My partner had a quiche, which it was stone cold, had to ask for it to be heated up.

Staff didn’t really look happy to be working there so no wonder they don’t care (not there fault though)

Spent 28£ for both meals plus cappuccino and mint tea.

Overall poor experience, only a few tables with people and it was very loud as well so I won’t be...

Victor Hugo has a wide variety of tasty options, but the sour bread sandwiches are definitely the star of the show. The bread is incredibly fresh and perfectly toasted, with just the right amount of chewiness. The sandwiches are loaded with plenty of meat, ensuring you hit your protein target. My personal favourite is the turkey sandwich, which is bursting with flavour. The cafe itself has a great layout and beautiful views to the Shore. The only downside to the deli is that it's always freezing inside, so I would definitely recommend bringing some cozy clothes or you may want to consider getting...

Popped in for a takeaway sandwich for lunch. Place was very neat and tidy inside and the person on the counter was really friendly. Ordered a turkey on the toasted sandwich which was packed with thinly sliced meat, sweet cranberry sauce and cheese which was just over £6. Tasted good and wasn't thankfully wasn't as messy to eat as I'd thought despite being packed with filling. Big sandwich that could be split for those with a lesser appetite. Ideal spot to grab a sandwich (and a cold beer from Beets) by the water and watch the world go by.
