So disappointing, I was so looking forward to lovely fresh greek food. Instead I got overcooked floury and dry chicken wrap, stuffed with cold, flavourless chips accompanied by cold, flavourless tasteless chips (not fries). How do you even make chips that bad? While generous in portion size, this was one expensive mistake given I cld only stomach the wrap with salad (I.e. tomato offcuts and red onions) and only because bit i was hungry. Avoid and save your money.

Updated post response from the restaurant: mmm, interesting that you don't take the criticism and do something positive with it I.e. improve. I assure you, we did not like the entire dinner and it went mostly in the bin except for the wrap and the salad (next time I would be mindful to take pictures, but there won't be a next time). I could have continued to comment on the sickly sweet, soggy baklava (not nutty, crispy and delicious as it should be), the dry pork and the orange hummus, but i thought I would not bother. If you read all your reviews you will see similar comments. Wish I had bothered to read the reviews first. This is exactly why I was so frustrated because at £40+, this was a lot of money to throw in the bin.

In any event, pretty happy in my life actually. Maybe try not to insult customers on a personal level though, very unprofessional and says a lot about you. Good luck with your wee restaurant,...

This was one of the best meals I've ever had.

My girlfriend and I were staying in a hotel nearby and were looking for some dinner. We came across this place when looking for food in the local area and we are both so glad we did!

We arrived and were seated straight away. The staff brought us a shot of Tsipouro and an appetizer. I didn't catch the name of it, but it was like a small bread roll with feta and an almost pesto like sauce. Delicious.

We ordered the Tzatziki and pitta bread to start. Both of which were fantastic. I ordered the Tenderloin with vermouth and orange sauce and my girlfriend ordered the moussaka. We ended up sharing and having half each as both were delicious! For desert we had yoghurt and orange spoon sweet and the orange cake. Very impressed with both. I had never heard of spoon sweet before and it's definitely with a go.

The staff were great throughout the whole meal. They recommended drinks to compliment our deserts (Tsipouro for the spoon sweet and vodka for the orange cake) and even gave us samples of the other options (orange or cherry sweet spoon).

We recommended the place to our host at the hotel we were staying in and raved about it for about 15 minutes when we got back!

Overall, this is a fantastic restaurant. Great Greek food cooked by Greek people. I thoroughly recommend eating here and will be back next time I'm...

Posto molto sporco. Tavoli con polvere, bicchieri macchiati e con sporco all’interno. Non abbiamo ordinato nulla e siamo andati via. Il costo sul menu è alto. Risposta al ristoratore:

Good evening I think you are mistaken. This is my only review. I arrived at the restaurant and did not order anything. I was brought a liqueur (I am a teetotaler) and a cracker with cheese without asking about allergies (my wife is lactose allergic). I did not photograph the menu but used my phone to translate some of the terms. The reason I left was that the glasses and cutlery were dirty (and not only mine which I would otherwise have asked to have changed but also those on the tables set nearby). In addition, the table was dirty and sticky. She was in the entrance smoking. This made me very uncomfortable thinking about the food prepared with hands that used a cigarette. I only rated what I saw and not the food, which I have now tried to correct by not indicating any stars. I did not indicate any 80 pound charge, I only said that the prices on the menu (also visible from the photos on Google) were high by the standard I saw. Having said that, therefore, my review cannot be judged as false because I thought something was different when seen in person than what was indicated on...

One of the best Greek food we had outside of Greece, at the south of Edinburgh. We were instantly amazed by the starters. The feta kadaifi was made with very refined strands of pastry, filled with feta cheese and topped with sesame and honey, so it brought a great mix of both texture (crispy shredded pastry and soft cheese) and flavour. And the fava with olive oil was pleasantly savoury and nutty, very appetising. For the main courses, we had the lamb shank which was really well-cooked, and the meat was very tender and juicy; the creamy sauce / soup was a subtle and good compliment that didn’t overshadow the taste of the lamb. And then, for a Greek meal, you just can’t go wrong with mousaka, the one we had was simply flavourful. We ended our lunch with the nice baklava and coffees. The staff (probably the owner) was super friendly. He told us there would be live music performances on Sundays that is worth checking out as well.

Very difficult to justify why this cost 16 pounds... Response to owner: - Yes, I am talking about the Gemista. I have attached a photo so you might be able to recognise it. - You're justifying the rip off price for a stuffed pepper by saying that the other items were cheap? If you go to a hospital and get insulted by the doctor, do you still leave a good review because the nurses were nice? I don't think so. 16 pounds??? For a green pepper and two tiny tomatoes stuffed with rice? That was more than a third of the price of my entire meal. If you think you've undervalued the other items on your menu (which is deluded) then sort that out, don't turn it on the customer. - The rest of the meal was soggy and average. Chicken was nicely seasoned but dry. So, the 2 stars took into account the whole experience. - I have deducted a further star for your silly response.

We went here quite late in a Saturday ( just 30 mins before close) and they couldn't have been nicer! Tasty appetizer and shot on arrival, followed by an amazing meal - I had the grief zucchini and lamb chops: the cost were so tender and flavourful, the fat was rendered perfectly; the fried zucchini was crispy with a soft centre. For dessert- the owners Baklava and cardamom coffee... Just perfect! We had a jug of the red house wine which was dry and the perfect accompaniment to the meal. I honestly can't recommend more!!
