As a girl who loves her food, I have been going to the places that I kept saying I'll go try but never did. So here we are at Tymperleys. And what a stunning location it is!! You walk underneath an old carriage entrance & past a lovely bookstore that you can while away many hours in, to get to this fantastic place. It's set in this beautiful majestic olde worlde house that has its original wooden beams, diamond glass windows & an absolutely gorgeous secret garden that you can walk around & enjoy. You can sit in or out doors. Rain or shine I always love to sit out by their gorgeous garden. You wouldn't know the garden was there, you have to walk as I said above through an old carriage entrance & down to the house itself, as you do you'll see the beautiful garden at the very end in an enclosed brick wall square. It literally is a stunning location! As for the food.... The menu covers breakfast, lunch & afternoon teas. It may not be the widest of choices menu but for me it has all that I need for lunch. I usually go for rose lemonade or the rhubarb drinks to accompany my lunch. Yesterday's lunch I sent for the ham & gruyère cheese ciabatta with salad & chips. My not so better half went for fish of the day, a herb encrusted haddock with broccoli, kale & new potatoes. Nothing was left on either plates!! If I'm in the mood for dessert I will always choose their Eton mess. O to the M to the G. It's absolutely delicious! Prices are very reasonable as well. I so highly recommend you try Tymperleys out for yourselves. As always love a rainbow haired girl who loves to try new things. Enjoy!! xXx Pictures attached are from an earlier visit to Tymperleys.

What a special place! My wife and I booked Tymperley's as our wedding venue when we first viewed the property a few years ago - it was our first venue viewing and we fell in love straight away. It's an absolutely stunning building with such a rich historical feel and the gardens are so beautiful. The central location is brilliant but as soon as you step through the gate it doesn't feel like you're in town centre. Our wedding day was a couple of weeks ago now and we are so so pleased we went with this venue as our first choice. We had the most perfect small wedding day anyone could ask for. Michelle and the team have been amazing from the absolute start and made the process so easy and seamless. We had to postpone the day twice due to Covid lockdowns and there were no dramas about this whatsoever, Michelle was so helpful and kind to us. When the day finally arrived we felt in such safe hands, everything was sorted and I did not feel any stress for one moment as soon as we were both at the venue. We opted for Afternoon Tea for the day guests and an informal BBQ for the evening and our guests absolutely loved it. The food was lovely, so tasty and the drinks were kept flowing throughout. We discussed all these options beforehand and we found Michelle to be super amenable and flexible to our wishes which meant that there were some great choices available for our guests. We had quite a few dietary requirements to cater for and the team took this in their stride, coming up with fantastic alternatives to ensure nobody went hungry. Thank you so much Michelle and team, you were so wonderful and we are so happy we chose Tymperleys, we had the most amazing day!

We popped in here as we was walking past, particularly as we was talking about the old clock museum that used to be inside - curiousity got the better of us so we went in for drink and cake! It was busy inside and we had to wait a few mins to get a table but staff were welcoming albeit they seemed a bit rushed. The building and rooms are nice but also felt a lityle cramped (at least in the first room where we was). They didnt seem to be botheted that little man (2 yrs old) was with us - this can sometimes put us off going in places! In terms of cake there was about 6 options in menu and about 4 on the specials board. Wife went with choc orange and I went for a raspberry cheesecake brownie (I was intrigued as I like both cheesecake and brownie!!) It was indeed very nice...! Service felt a little rushed during our visit - bill was given to us straight after finished cake (whilst little man was licking crumbs from plate) but we hadnt actually finished our drinks. Wife reported no loo roll in toilet when she went! (A plesant way to end a review..?) All in all an OK experience.

So here we are at Tymperleys.

As for the food....
