I've always ordered food from A.G.G online and their food is usually average/good (I particularly like the abula, ayamashe and shawarma), though on more than one occasion I've asked that the oil in my Abula be reduced but this was completely ignored (their abula always has a lot of oil floating on top). Notwithstanding, I decided to dine in on one occasion, and I was quite disappointed in the service. I had expected proper service where you'd enter and be ushered to a table, have your order taken at your table, get your food promptly etc, but we had to order our food at the counter and wait almost 30 minutes if not more before the first item (meat pies) came. Waited again for the actual food to be brought one after the other. Btw, a group of about 6 people DID have their orders taken at their table (I wonder if their customership is more important than mine). A minor irritation - I'd also placed my order and gone to sit thinking I'd pay after the meal as in most restaurants, only to find out I was supposed to order, pay then wait. I guess my expectations were unrealistic. I'd expected to have a nice UK experience in a UK city Nigerian restaurant, but I got the proper "Nigerian bukka experience" of poor customer service and poor organisation. The food was average at best. The pounded yam is NEVER pounded yam (I don't know why I expected pounded yam, it never is in this country; usually poundo or worse).The whole scene was too rowdy for my liking. I do delivery for Uber and I can confirm the service for this restaurant is the slowest in Cov. I come to collect two orders that should be ready and 9/10 times only one is ready and I have to wait 20 mins. There are times where Iāve waited 45 mins cause they keep saying 5 mins whilst an order just sat there.
The staff look confused seem to just look at each other and walk up and down aimlessly. It seems thereās only one chef. Staff are just wandering around as if they are trying to look busy and some on their phones.
I feel sorry for customers whoās food is waiting for 25 mins on worktops before given to driver. Currently Iāve waited 25 mins and these orders have been there as others are not ready.
As a driver an order pings to me 7 minutes before itās ready to collect. By the time I get there park up is about 5-7 mins.A further wait of 5 mins I can expect but 15-30 mins average is far beyond acceptable. I will refuse to deliver for them again. As a customer I wouldnāt waste my time and money on them.

On the 23rd of May, I called the number on the website and informed them of the state of the Catfish every time I ordered. I had selected the delivery and order extension to complain about the previous orders and the lady who attended to me assured me that I would get better Catfish as I told her that I was about to place another order of the Catfish and plantain. When my order was delivered, I dialed the same extension and complained. The same lady passed me on to the manager who was EXTREMELY RUDE, telling me that everything was fresh and he was not going to apologize for my order. He used the words "I'm telling you that the fish was freshly prepared and you're telling me to apologize. I cannot do that. How does it work?"
