We only started checking the lowest reviews after it was too late, but I learned something new. Instead of starting with the highest review, we should begin with the lowest one and then move to the ones with five 🌟 reviews.
Let’s start with one of the friendly waiters who roams around the restaurant.
The second waiter, who literally made us review this place soon, deserves a huge thank you. The guy with curly long hair, however, is not so friendly. His behaviour and the way he looks at you is frustrating that he makes you question yourself why you’re even there.
Now, let’s talk about ordering food.
I called the so-called friendly waiter and told him we wanted to order the drinks first and would order the rest later.
We heard from the inner area saying, “Are they only ordering drinks?” It wasn’t what he said, but the way he said it was rude. We’ve been to numerous restaurants, including Michelin-starred ones and even some of the worst chicken shops, but we’ve never had a waiter ask another waiter that question.
Regardless of how little or how much you order, your responsibility is to make the customers feel welcome.
We were about to leave the restaurant then and there, but their website said they had been nominated for Masterchef restaurants of the year. Guess what? I hardly doubt that.
Okay, let’s leave that argument for some other people to comment on it.
Now, let’s focus on the food.
2 Daiquiris are for £18, which is a bit higher than the usual price, but we didn’t mind. However, the quality of the drinks were nowhere near the price. There were too much syrup in them.
Then, let’s talk about the cakes. The chocolate cake was literally out of the corner shop, I guess. (That’s an offensive comment to corner shop, but I think they are better in-terms of quality and service)
Finally, let’s talk about the main food. The flavour was somewhat there, but it wasn’t perfect.
The price doesn’t matter at all. We would have paid double the price if the food was worth it or the service was good.
And one last thing: the door doesn’t have any sticker saying “pull” or “push.” Come on, guys, focus on the basics.
Okay, if needed, the manager or owner should look at the camera footage from 19:00-19:15. The coffee dip tray wasn’t cleaned up at all.
This store is so worth it for people to take photos and videos for Instagram or TikTok, otherwise it’s literally not worth it at all.
Some may have had a good experience with your mocktails (the taste varies every time), but we had the sweetest experience ever! 😂
We ordered two mocktails: one passionfruit daiquiri, which should have had passion fruit, and the second one was a coco colada. They added the other half of passionfruit as a garnish, which wasn’t complaining, but it shouldn’t have been there...
Read moreI visited Locco for my Birthday Brunch and i was hugely disappointed by the service I received from staff. I had been wanting to try this place out for a while and had really hoped I would have left feeling happy with the service I received but I did not. When I entered the restaurant we were seated at a table near the window and left unattended without menus to look through. After almost 10 minutes of trying to get a staff members attention we finally got given the menus to look through. Once we decided what we wanted to order, it still took alot of effort to get the attention of the wait staff.
Once we finally placed the order the food came in good time and was presented well, which I can say is the ONLY positive of my visit.
My husband ordered the traditional desi breakfast and most of the items tasted good except for the channa masala mix which was bland and had no flavour. I ordered the chicken deli which were served with waffle fries rather than masala fries that the menu description had described, despite this I was happy with my food. Also ordered nuggets and waffle fries for my daughter and a mocktail for myself. Total spent was over £50!
We were asked once whilst eating if we were happy with the food by the lady waitress, she was the only one that gave us any attention without us trying to gesture and ask for assistance. After we finished again we waited and tried to get someone's attention for the bill but in the end gave up and paid at the counter. I did let the owner know that i felt let down by the service provided.Overall the food was nice but the service and attention of the wait staff needs to drastically improve.
I just hope the service improves after this feedback as the pricing of this establishment is on the more pricier side with which you would expect much...
