Takeaway- ordered 3 dishes. Based on it being local and good reviews. On reaching home with the takeaway the prawn tikka masala was great, along with the plain naans. However we also ordered 2 sizzling platters (one fish and one tandoori meat) both supposed to be for 2 people menu price £14 and £11 respectively. We have had other platters for 2, from other local restaurants in the past, so we were very let down by the portion size. The fish one had 6 small pieces altogether that may have been OK for 1 person, but never two, plus the small salmon piece lacked flavour when compared to the nice masal fish. The tandoori platter would be enough for 1.5 people. When I queried this with the restaurant by phone, I was told that this was standard, 6 pieces for £14 for 2 people to share, so beware! The photo attached is of the contents we recieved minus one prawn, there are a lot of onions which filled up the container. So advice is don't go for anything that may be a sharer as you will be disappointed. It may be better to go to the restaurant for your sizzlers than order a takeaway. I was disappointed that the restaurant did not offer to do anything to compensate us for our disappointment, hence the review. I have fedback to a couple of restaurants in the past when things have gone wrong and they have appreciated the feedback and made amends. Shame that this one could not.

The restaurant is spotless and welcoming! I arrived with crutches and a leg brace and without even having to ask, we were seated at the most suitable table (for 4, but we were a 2) Beer was cold and spot on! Food was incredible! I’d honestly say it’s the best Nan bread I have eaten! Light, fluffy and hot! The tandoori platter is delicious! I’d give this little hidden gem an 11/10! The service is superb and the food is incredible! Our new regular (although not local for us!)

Haven't eaten here in years due to a busy busy life but brought friends in from Hong Kong. Food is as great. My friends were very impressed. Even more impressive as they have eaten all over the world and eaten at the best places in and around Hong Kong, a Mecca for foodies and many countries around the world. Food was delicious and service was brilliant.

Worst resturant ever with appalling quality of food and service twice in a row . This time we ordered a takeaway and ended up with burnt nan breads. When we called to complain we encountered a very rude man and then a lady on the phone who said they can't do anything about it. We I insisted on replacement the lady who was apparently the owner of the resturant said that we need to stop complaining and never order back from the resturant as that is the only quality of food they serve all the time. There is some serious quality and service issues at this place will never go back here and recommend people to avoid this resturant as its a serious disappointment and waste of money. There are very good alternatives available...

Just had a takeaway from the Sonargaon , my husband collected and said how nice it is inside after a spruce up and under new management. My husband also said how friendly and welcoming the staff were so I was looking forward to eating my meal which looked ok but unfortunately it was quite poor. The chicken was so dry and overcooked that I had to spit it out . The sauce lacked any flavour and seasoning and although I have had worse this was certainly in my bottom 3. The special fried rice I ordered was also very lacking in any flavour , it contained onion, egg and peas which again was not the same standard as many other establishments I have tried . Sadly we will not be...
