Dixy Chicken — Restaurant in Coventry

Apparently this place has been taken over recently by new management. I had the Peri chicken platter and it was absolutely luscious! Firstly it wasn't a dried out baby chicken like most places but a bigger chicken that could hardly fit in the box - so plus points just on the portion size. But the flavour......it was just so good! Juicy, succulent and not too spicy - it was as close to perfect as I've ever had. I can't remember the last time I ordered a peri chicken that hadn't been dried out on the grill. This was moist and delicious and so were the peri strips. The fries as well...so crispy and perfect - I'm pretty sure they've changed the potatoes the previous owners used. We tried to order a meal tonight and we live 0.8 miles from the shop, the menu that arrived a couple of days ago clearly states that minimum orders must be over £10 within a 3 mile radius, however when we placed the order, that was over £10 they wanted to charge a delivery charge of £1, no where in the menu did it state that there was a delivery charge. staff rude when challenged on this and their reaction was the menu is wrong. I don't mind paying the delivery charge if this is stated. They lost more than a £1 tonight, cancelled order. what next, you order a burger and the batch is extra, because the menu is wrong....

Ever since it’s been under new management, I highly recommend going to this dixys, their popcorn chicken, spicy wings and chips are delicious. I personally have not tried the burgers but they look and smell delicious and according to my brother, they are the best he’s had!
