Gotta love a family run business, complete with dedication, hard work & an atmosphere that's sadly, hard to find these days. I'm aware that the chef has won awards, but add to that a fabulous heartfelt service & genuine desire to give customers the best dining experience & you're onto a winner. We arrived a minute before closing, with a car full of family that were visiting from the Far East We'd not called ahead or made reservations and it was clear that the restaurant was in the process of closing. Despite the inconvenience we caused,we were welcomed, seated & left alone to catch up with the years we'd missed. At no point were we rushed (although I did hear the owner apologising to his wife on the phone & explaining that he'd be a little late home!) The dishes were superb. The Bengali chef deserves every award he's acquired. Without question the best Indian meal in the City. Gratitude to all the staff that we delayed!

No alcohol. The ambience is almost non existent and the seating uncomfortable. The service was very warm and friendly but inefficient. Drinks order was bungled and our bhindi bhaji side was missing completely and rushed to the table 5 min later. It was not very good bhindi. The tandoori chicken was nice and only very slightly over done. The lamb biryani really good. Tender lamb and a nice flavoursome mild vegetable curry accomplishment. Naan breads also quite good I wouldn't rush back

Had a takeaway from here tonight for the first time, lovely food large portions and good value for your money. The staff were friendly and helpful. Nice welcome soon as I entered the restaurant. Just wished they served alcohol so I would eat in with friends. I will be ordering again from here for a takeaway. Thanks ๐Ÿ‘

This place is the best curry house in Coventry. We've been coming here since 2003 & I know people who have been eating here for longer than that. Bob & Iqi are professional, courteous, extremely talented & will do their utmost to ensure you have an amazing dining experience. Nothing is too much trouble & they will often adapt meals to ensure your taste buds are tingling! If Iqi happens to be in you're in for an even better treat. Not only because of his amazing talent as a chef & developing new meals to try, but his wonderful natutal ability to make people feel relaxed, welcome & have a good laugh too, sometimes at his own expense. So if you want excellent authentic indian food with an enjoyable atmosphere, you must...

This place is a gem, a time travel back to the 80s...full of nostalgia . If you want a memorable night out, you will get it in abundance. Iqbal the host here is with the most, transporting you to a sitcom set, delivering great entertainment to all his customers. You will not forget or be disappointed.

When the food arrived, it was an explosion of great flavours from the first mouthful to the last. The dishes were authentic, traditional and nostalgic. The quality was rich and full of flavour. There was no style over substance. It was class act of cooking. The cheese garlic naan was done with finesse.

This restaurant will be my go to in Coventry. There is more on the menu I want to try. I will return again...
