Farmers Fayre at Charterhouse — Restaurant in Coventry

Been to the farmers fayre at the Charterhouse a couple of times. Usually for breakfast. Went today for coffee and scones. My friend ordered flatbread (looked amazing) and iced tea at the till, I used the app. My scone was forgotten, had to chase it. They make a different flavoured scone each month. Scones gorgeous but let down by use of uht cream, turned into something resembling margarine in the lunchtime heat. Please use real cream! I couldn’t finish second...

Very nice cafe for breakfast, tea/coffee and cake (including gluten free and vegan options) and lunch. Lovely conservatory tp sit indoors, or plenty of outdoor seating too. While it's next to the National Trust Charterhouse, you can go to the cafe without paying to go in. Worth getting out if there are any specials near the till, before deciding what you want. The new Charterhouse location is fantastic. The atmosphere is perfect on a hot summer's day and the food compliments this setting perfectly.
