My husband and I enjoy eating at this Thai restaurant every month! Every dish we have tried is delicious and I always ask for them to be less spicy, "Mai Pet" in Thai. My favourite is a coconut curry with jasmine rice.
There is plenty of seating upstairs, enough infact for a large group, and clean toilets downstairs. The staff is always kind and welcoming. Each meal comes with some type of prawn crackers.
I always order the Thai iced Tea. The consistency of the milk level is always different, but still delicious. Were never able to find room for dessert, but I'm sure the options are delicious.
This location is a short 12-minute walk from the City Center. There is free parking out front. I highly recommend this location for a delicious, proper and reasonably priced Thai meal!
Please note, I am not sure if this would be a good place for the disabled ♿. There are two steps into the restaurant and the toilets are downstairs. This is a old Grade Listed building and it doesn't have any newer features. I think there maybe a ramp to arrange for entry, but there's no access to the toilet. Just an FYI. Worth getting delivery if you're questioning...
Read moreWhat was once a staple restaurant has now became a staple avoidance and it saddens me to say that. Three dined together and all order pad thai. 2 were chicken based. The lady with me pointed out that it did not taste right - almost had a burning flavour to it. After comparing with the other, which was sweet a flavourful, we wanted to bring this up to see if a new one could be made. Long story, the Owner/Manager refused by trying to see defend his place by stating things like "I'm a chef" and "I have never had a complaint". Well I'm sorry, you do now and I hope you read this to take on our unhappy experience. You outright refused to taste the difference. You tried to cover it up by adding vinegar and chilli flakes. This does not cover a burning flavour. But it was clear that you were not going to change the dish for the lady, we were not going to get anywhere with you. The best thing was to just pay (which was all you wanted) and leave. From chef to chef, it is important to take on what the customer is experiencing regardless of how many years you have been cooking. Human errors happen in kitchens. We truly hope you take this on board for...
Read moreStaying in Coventry for a few nights and teenagers decided they want to have Thai for dinner. I googled a few places and this was by far the best in pricing along with good reviews. They offer a 10% discount on collection to. We ordered 9 dishes, some good and some not so good. The most disappointing item was the 2 pad thai’s which were both my daughters favourite, they usually have one each. The noodles were bland and dry, chicken breast was chewy and the noodles I think wasn’t cooked through. £17 for the two which we barely touched! The golden bags starters were equally as disappointing, (if it was a local I would have called them to recook the noodles and exchange my starter) Thankfully I ordered two rices so we were able to share. The chicken salad mince, tamarind prawns and lamb dish was probably the best. These were good in flavour and tasted just as I have had from other restaurants. There are plenty of other Thai takeaways around, so I wouldn’t come back here when I next visit. The experience hasn’t wowed me, the noodles definitely needs improvement as it is a very popular dish from the...
