By far the worst McDonald’s I have ever been to on every occasion, but today really topped it. I cannot stress how much you should avoid this place, especially if ordering inside.
Usually this place is awful, wrong order, missed items, cold food the usual. However, tonight we ordered at 11pm inside. There was a table of about 6/7 waiting for their food and around 6 orders were placed when we came in, not small numbers but nothing major. There were no members of staff on the counter to take someone’s cash payment. The food took well over half an hour for every single person who ordered, while the drive thru orders kept flowing in and leaving as quickly as they came. Easily 100 cars passed through the drive though with no one inside being served. Others who ordered were starting to get frustrated with the staff constantly ignoring us when we were trying to ask for an update on the food. One family did manage to get the attention of someone after having to raise their voice, the staff when we finally did get someone to engage with us were horrifically rude and no apologies were given for our ridiculous wait. We were told there was one person running the orders, or at least that’s what I thought I heard but the staff were mumbling like teenagers who had just been told off by their parents (these were all people aged 30+). Scott the shift Manager was so rude, arguing with customers who had received boxes with no food due to an app and translation error. There was at least a 15 minute delay between each order coming out, before we all got very frustrated and then they quickly pushed all our orders out. Some people had been waiting over 45 minutes. When the staff were engaging with us, they kept looking at us as if we were being rude when we were simply just trying to find out what was going on and kept being met with backlash, no answers, being deliberately ignored by staff turning away from us when getting sauces from the counter. Every single member of staff was apologising to the drive thru people waiting but there was no apology to ourselves who had been waiting significantly more than the few minutes the drive thru queue had been waiting.
I want to express, in particular you could tell the beyond awful attitudes and lack of respect from the staff was inherently passed down through Scott, the shift Manager. His attitude stank and he does not deserve to be in his role if he treats his customers with such distain and disrespect.
I would never expect to be treated this way anywhere by anyone and I am beyond horrified with this experience. There would be 0 stars on everything if this...
Read moreI do not recommend this McDonald's. Not a well run branch. Got our "eat out" order completely wrong. Discovered this when we got home. Obvously they gave us some one else's order. Rang the brach to report this, it took 20 minutes for them to answer the phone. Explained the situation. Got a reasonable response and was promised a replacement meal next time we visit the store. They said that they would record it in a book and took our name. We visited the branch a few days later. Politely explained the situation and got referred to a manager, a red-haired lady. Explained the situation again. She went to have a look in the book. She came back after a few minutes and said that she couldn't find the name in the book. I asked if I can look in the book in case the name had been accidentally missed. The response was that "there isn't a book but a system". This to me implied that the red haired lady had not looked. I asked her what her name was? She responded in raised voice. Saying that she could not help and asked me to leave and wished me a very good day. (I think she may have remembered some customer service training at this point.)
McDonald's used to a friendly place you could take the kids for a meal. These days, it seems to have turned into a food factory for home deliveries. I am hoping the franchise holder for this branch is reading...
Read moreStrikingly awful service – this staff team is a disaster
This was, without exaggeration, one of the most frustrating and humiliating experiences I’ve had in any fast food place. I ordered three frappés under one receipt (order number 86), but my number never appeared on the screen.
When I asked a staff member, she casually told me it was probably still being prepared. I waited over 20 minutes with no update. Then I saw an employee walking around holding what was clearly my order. I told him it was mine – he blatantly ignored me like I wasn’t even there. He came back later, still holding the drinks, and told a colleague, “I couldn’t find them,” and just dumped the order on the side counter.
My number, 86, was printed on the cups, plain as day. Then another staff member picked it up and loudly started calling for number 84. I tried to correct him and told him it was 86 and mine – he completely ignored me again. He left it on the counter like nothing happened.
I turned to a third staff member for help, and she told me, “Wait a minute.” She never came back.
Fed up with the disrespect, I asked to speak to the manager, expecting at least a hint of professionalism. But he was the worst of all – yelling in my face like I was causing a scene for no reason, with a tone so hostile it made me feel like a burden instead of a customer.
I’ve never seen such an incompetent, rude, and poorly trained team in one place. This branch is a complete failure and desperately needs management overhaul and serious customer...
